Dear PYP Parents, Facilitators are key factors in maintaining and improving the quality of education at Indus International School. Although, IISP provides a platform for training, the teachers have an enormous responsibility to support their learning through reflective practices, research and authentic classroom engagements. We would also like to share that Ms. Rachna Gupta - Centre Head of IELC - Koregaon Park and Ms. Anjali Kudale - EYP Coordinator - IISP visited the University of Jyvaskyla on a study tour, to explore the best pedagogical practices of Finland. Through the five-day intensive workshop the team members got an opportunity to visit various schools, interact with the early years practitioners and, learn from the experts. The course gave our Indus delegation a platform to understand different perspectives of Education and bring back the best practices that can be implemented at our school, thereby providing our learners with a more enriching learning experience. Dear PYP Parents,

Facilitators are key factors in maintaining and improving the quality of education at Indus International School. The PYP staff—old and new, participated in various workshops like— Making the PYP Happen, Collaborative planning and many more to strengthen and build their understanding of the PYP.

Uniforms

All PYP Grades from 1 to 5 will wear PE Uniforms from Mondays to Thursdays and the formal uniform will be worn only on Fridays’. The early years wears PE uniform on all days.

Swimming

Students will have swimming once a week separately for boys and girls. A lady coach will be available to instruct the children in the pool. Swimming will be replaced with PE during monsoons and winters.

As our pool is under renovation, we will send an email about when swimming will resume in the time table.

ACER/IBT

Grades 3-5 will participate in the ACER assessments. The home room teachers will start reviewing relevant concepts, September onwards. We encourage all students to be present for this evaluation. This year the IBT assessments will be held on the 16th of November 2017.

Our youngest eagles have been busy settling into their class routine. Not only are they enjoying their school routines, they are also building on their knowledge of the environment and learning the letters of the Alphabet. Music is a wonderful way to build on vocabulary and at IISP we encourage as well as inspire children to explore and develop their creative side. Our students love to paint, retell stories, dance to rhymes because school is fun at all times.
