This project will start at 3:00 PM and continue until around 7:00 PM. We will be preparing dinner for roughly 60-75 people. All food will be purchased, prepared and served by Rockaway Rotarians. The planned menu is pork roast, mac ‘n cheese, veggies, biscuits and dessert. A vegetarian alternative will be ravioli pie. We need a maximum of 6 volunteers since the kitchen is small. If interested in helping with this project, please contact PE Janice. HOLIDAY FOOD DRIVE This past Saturday, members of the Rockaway Rotary Club braved the cool weather to collect non-perishable food items and monetary donations for the Rockaway Food Closet during Rockaway Borough Schools’ “Winter Wonderland” at Thomas Jefferson School. SUPPORT THE ROTARY FOUNDATION 1793 - "The American Minerva" was published for the first time. It was the first daily newspaper in New York City and was founded by Noah Webster. 1803 - The 12th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution was passed by the U.S. Congress. With the amendment Electors were directed to vote for a President and a Vice-President rather than for two choices for President. 1884 - Levant M.
