Please join us as we offer our sympathy and lift up inprayer, Rev. Catherine Stark­Corn, and family, as theycelebrate the life of her father, Rev. William (Bill) Stark. Many of you will remember Rev. Bill Stark, because heserved at Covenant Presbyterian Church, in KansasCity.The following was taken from Rev. Bill Stark'sobituary:"William McDermott Stark Jr. was born in St. Louis,MO, March 17, 1936, and died August 24,2016 at homein Santa Fe, NM, with his daughters at his side. Hedied after a swift decline from metastatic cancer. He issurvived by daughters Marg of Coronado, CA;Catherine of Kansas City, MO; sons­in­law Duke andBrian; grandsons Patrick, Liam, Taylor, and Spencer;

FUNDS NEEDED TO CONTINUE THE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM: 35 MayaQuiché are taking classes this year at various levels of seminary and secular edstudies, thanks to Heartland scholarships. In order to continue this valuableprogram in the upcoming years, a minimum of $10,000 is needed each year. Costs vary somewhat depending on the level of study, but the typical (and mostexpensive) annual scholarship is $400. Will your church provide funding for 1,5, or 10 scholarships for next year?
