USING SOCCER AS THE VEHICLE FOR SOCIAL CHANGE.
The Hat-Trick Initiative: 3 Goals in 3 Years
Goal 1 We send our coaches to
selected partner communities to work with local teachers, volunteers and children for up to 12 weeks/year over 3 consecutive years.
We develop a local ‘Chance to Choice’ curriculum and ‘Chance to Lead’ volunteer program.
Our unique online mentoring is established and ensures continuous improvement.
Working with Soccer for Conflict Resolution and Female Empowerment
Goal 2 We obtain funding for
selected community teachers and coaches to train in other developing communities around the world to gain valuable educational and social experiences for up to 12 weeks.
We share ideas and best practices.
Working with Soccer for Health and Wellness and Financial Literacy.
Goal 3 We provide soccer kit
and educational supplies through our Equipment Across Continents project and help to develop sports educational facilities to help the community to sustain their program.
We use our own WISER monitoring and evaluation system to develop each individual partner program.

Special Olympics, Namibia qualify 52 coaches who begin a ‘Unified Games’ outreach program
Soccer for the Environment begins in Gansbaii, South Africa
The first Sportcourt built in Kigoma, Tanzania
Our ‘Chance to Lead’ volunteer support program is launched.
4 community programs reach more than 200 teachers in Tanzania
75 coaches and 2500 children receive Soccer for Health and Wellness HIV education in Nairobi, Kenya
The first Football for Life Skills and Financial Literacy launched in Ghana.
12,160 Hours ‘On Field’ Coaching.1400 local teachers /volunteers /coaches trained.$115,000 of Equipment delivered for sustainability.45,000 children learn from our HIV program on World Aids Day.Coaches Across Continents Programs in 13 countries.New 24 week curriculum launched in 2011.
