September 2012

Dear Friends,

It was an incredible summer, and our annual “autumn advance” is already off to one of the fastest starts ever. As I’ve shared with you, I am near the end of the second seven-year period in which I have received almost no prophetic revelation. The first time I went through a period like this it ended with a two-and-a-half-day prophetic experience that was by far the greatest revelation I have ever received, which I wrote about in The Harvest. This period ends near the middle of this month, and already I’ve received some of the most powerful dreams I’ve had in years. I was told that the last such time resulted in me receiving a vision of the harvest, but this one will end with the harvest.

The greatest move of God there has ever been upon the earth will begin breaking out this year. Our main focus is being prepared for what God is doing, not what the enemy is doing. We are commanded not to be ignorant of the enemy’s schemes, but we want to give far more attention to what God is doing than to what the devil is doing. A part of my personal calling these last seven years has been to help the body of Christ, and some in other realms such as government and business, to understand the problems and trials coming. Now I will give almost all of my attention to what God is doing, helping to prepare the way for our soon coming King.

As I have shared with you before, the way that I was shown to receive the “sons of Issachar anointing” in I Chronicles 12:32, “And of the sons of Issachar, men who understood the times, with knowledge of what Israel should do,” was the way Issachar got it as we are told in Genesis 49:14-15: “Issachar is a strong donkey, lying down between the sheepfolds. When he saw that a resting place was good and that the land was pleasant, he bowed his shoulder to bear burdens, and became a slave at forced labor.” When I received this, I was living in Moravian Falls, a true piece of heaven, and my main job was spending time with the Lord,

having prophetic visions and dreams, and writing them. I had to leave that and move to Fort Mill to “become a slave at forced labor” and do things no one else wanted to do. Now that time is up, and it is time for me to return to the prophetic ministry, but on a higher level and with the “sons of Issachar” anointing. The incredible dreams I’ve been having the last couple of months are just a foretaste.

I am asked often if I am going to write any more books in The Final Quest series, and the answer is “yes.” I’ve been sitting on this for over seven years now. I think the rest is about to start coming. There are many other things that I am also starting to get revelation on that I will soon be taking time to write, as well as share on our Prophetic Perspectives TV show.

This is a bit of what is going on with me personally, but MorningStar is also entering a whole new phase that is parallel. The anointing on the prophetic is ratcheting up very quickly. We have received a double portion of prophetic anointing, and the clarity and level of revelation is already flowing like we have not seen in many years. The best of all, the manifest presence of the Lord, is increasing.

Revelation has been coming to me so much lately that I have not had the time to process or write much of it. I should have this time beginning in September, so I will be able to share with you much more than generalities. However, for now I want to share a word that Bob Jones shared with me. If you watched my message on August 19 on morningstartv.com, I shared this at the end.

Bob was shown a coming army of mercy-naries. These were soldiers of fortune who were citizens of another country who had come to fight for our country. The “other country” in Scripture is the kingdom, and these were citizens of the kingdom that had come to fight for the nations of this world. These were old, professional soldiers who had many scars from religious wars, but not wounds—their wounds had been healed. He said there were no novices among them, but these were old warriors who had been in many battles and had experienced many defeats, and they would never be defeated again.

I’ll have much more to share about this army later, but many of you are in this army. I think this is a part of the great revival I saw coming among the over age 50 group who would be one of the most powerful parts of the last-day army. This is the leadership of the last-day army—the “Joshuas and Calebs” who will help lead the taking of the Promised Land. Your scars from the battles of the past will reveal your rank, even if those battles ended in defeat. You have not been sidelined by God but set aside for this time. It is now time to get back in the fight, and you must not base your future expectations on your experiences of the past because the defeats are over.

If you need an injection of spiritual energy, consider coming to the Worship Conference this month, and/or the Harvest Conference that follows right after it. You may especially want to get personal prophetic ministry, but you should also get ready to give some. The Spirit is moving in such a way that “who can help but to prophesy?”

Thank you so much for your remarkable generosity and support. Our goal is to multiply all that is entrusted to us, and next month I hope to have time to recount some of the amazing fruit that has come from it. Thanks especially to those of you who sent extra gifts to be put toward the completion of the Mission Base in Moravian Falls. Almost half of what is needed to finish it has come in, and if this continues we may actually get in it by the end of this year—in time for the greatest harvest the world has ever seen.

As always, my prayer for you is from II Corinthians 9:8, that “all grace” would abound to you so that you would have “all sufficiency in everything,” and “have an abundance for every good deed.”

In His Service,

Rick Joyner

Jesus was crucified outside the city gates. That is where His blood was spilled to cleanse His people. In Hebrews 13:13-16 we read:

So let’s go outside, where Jesus is, where the action is—not trying to be privileged insiders, but taking our share in the abuse of Jesus. This “insider world” is not our home. We have our eyes peeled for the City about to come.

Let’s take our place outside with Jesus, no longer pouring out the sacrificial blood of animals but pouring out sacrificial praises from our lips to God in Jesus’ name.

Make sure you don’t take things for granted and go slack in working for the common good; share what you have with others. God takes particular pleasure in acts of worship—a different kind of “sac-rifice”—that take place in kitchen and workplace and on the streets (The Message).

At the recent Partners’ Weekend, I was amazed by the increasing num-ber of Partners who contacted me. They wanted an appointment to share their passion for the nations and their desire to be used by the Lord in teaching, train-ing, imparting, praying, prophesying, and partnering with our missionaries in many lands and also opening up new territories as we receive numerous invitations from the global MorningStar prophetic community. What a precious family we are! We appreciate our Partners, friends, and all the sectors of MorningStar catching a new fire for revival, miracles, signs, and wonders. Our time is now!

As Rick Joyner has been speaking recently of sending out apostolic ministry teams to the nations, we are just beginning to discern and assimilate the vision and unique position MorningStar has in helping fulfill the Great Commission. These initial faith reports and glimpses of God’s glory give us a great vantage point to new horizons full of hope.

Our faith is rising as we hunger and thirst for more of the Lord. Even in the midst of this global economic crisis, in places like Europe they are experiencing amazing supernatural healings and encounters with the living God. The Holy Spirit loves chaos and is waiting for us to invite Him as we speak “peace” to the storms.

PEOPLE OF THE MONTHBill & Chris NeSmith, OAK Initiative and Church Planters

Bill and Chris are blessed to have 5 children and 10 grandchildren with a new grandbaby on the way. Not only are Bill and Chris partners in life but in ministry as well. They are both strongly administrative, yet Bill’s knowledge and visionary leadership combine beautifully with Chris’ gifts of wisdom and discernment. Here, Bill tells their story.

Tell us How You Connected with MorningStarBack in 1991, before the internet existed, Bulletin Board Systems were the computer

discussion forums of the day. I was impacted by something Rick had written and posted on a Bulletin Board. Then in 2000, the Lord spoke clearly to me that we were to connect with MorningStar. Therefore, through the evangelistic, equipping, and training ministry that we founded called Harvest Light Ministries, we joined MorningStar Fellowship of Ministries (MFM). The summer of 2006 ushered in another great change for us. As I pondered various options for my life, MorningStar University (MSU) made the list. God used Chris to confirm the decision. By August, she and I were entering boot camp as new MSU students.

How Did Your Involvement with OAK Develop? In 2009, after graduating from MSU and ministering for several weeks in Europe, we

attended our first OAK Summit. We discovered that the OAK vision of “unite, mobilize, equip, activate” resonated deeply with our Harvest Light Ministries calling to “unite to restore, equip, to release.” OAK captured our hearts. One month later, after a discussion with Rick, I was installed as a leader of the OAK Initiative.

Share Your Vision for the Savannah Church PlantWe are planting a church in Savannah called Harvest Light Fellowship. Our purpose

is to carry and release freedom, for where the Spirit of the Lord is there is freedom (see II Corinthians 3:17). On August 10-12, we kicked things off with an event called The Savannah Freedom Conference. Many people came and responded by embracing the vision we share for Savannah to find its true, God-given identity in the freedom of the Lord.

A Word to Our PartnersI want to remind our Partners that MorningStar is a ministry on the cutting edge. Back

in 1991, it was using the technology of the day with Bulletin Board Systems, and today they are on the cutting edge by partnering with people like Chris and I who are sent, deployed by MorningStar, to carry forth God’s love and light into the darkness.

Please send prayer requests and praises to Partners at MorningStar Ministries, 375 Star Light Dr., Fort Mill, SC 29715.
