introduction Cooper and Turner and McLean Buchanan and Wilson (MBW) joined forces in March

2007 to offer a seamless, ‘one stop shop’ in the manufacture and distribution of

industrial fasteners.

Lot Traceable

All Grade 8.8 and higher-grade fasteners are totally

batch-traceable.

We use specialised stock control systems that

maintain total lot-traceability by linking batch

identity numbers to despatch documentation and

customer orders.

Test certificates can be supplied with goods and are

retained for a minimum of 10 years.

tunnel bolts to the mining and tunnelling industry.

Today, the company is the UK’s leading

manufacturer of specialist bolts to the modern

tunnelling industry.

With full ‘in house’ fabrication facilities Cooper and

Turner is capable of manufacturing a full range of

fixings. The range includes all sizes from M12 to

M100 as standard. The company is also able to

manufacture special fasteners for bespoke

requirements and to drawing.

Cooper and Turner was the first company to

develop a range of ‘Fast Thread’ products for

this market. These greatly facilitate assembly in

components, designers can consult with our in

house technical expertise at our Sheffield facility

for a bespoke, more technically demanding

Equipment Manufacturers’ (OEM's) from the

straightforward manufacture and supply of a

wide range of fasteners to a complete Direct

Line Feed (DLF) solution where parts are

supplied to the point of use. Product sourcing,

quality control, goods receipt, inspection,

warehousing and delivery are all part of this

service allowing manufacturers to focus on

their core business of manufacture.

the fasteners that the company manufacture and supply are safety critical and most function in the most

testing of environments.

Controls are rigid and because the majority of fasteners are manufactured ‘in-house’, the highest standards

and specifications can be guaranteed. Those fasteners that are manufactured elsewhere are rigorously

audited throughout their manufacturing processes and systems. Further testing is carried out at the goods

receipt stage at the ‘in-house’ testing facility g for compliance with order instructions. All suppliers are

regularly monitored to ensure that the same high standards are maintained.
