Board of Governors Meeting Minutes
September 30, 2016
Please find the minutes from the most recent Board of Governors meeting below. The format of
the minutes mirrors the format of the SCU Law Faculty minutes. The minutes are recorded by the
Secretary, Kelly Watkins, unless specified.

AGENDA
Agenda item 1: Approval of the minutes for the meeting convened on September 19, 2016
Amendment to the Minutes – Ashley Jenezon (Co- Vice President) was in attendance at the
meeting on September 19, 2015. A vote was made to approve the update. Unanimously
passed.
Agenda Item 2: Approval of the Bylaws from last year.
A motion was made to adopt the bylaws from 2015. No discussion occurred. Unanimously
passed.
Agenda Item 3: Approval of the 2016 – 2017 Budget.
The budget was explained by the treasurers, George and Tereza. $12,300 will go to the LSO’s
which leaves about $6,150 for Fall and $6,150 for Spring. There are 23 clubs which requested
money. The budget would fully fund prizes, social events, and one conference per club that
requested it. There will be no funding for transportation. There is also no funding allocated for
LSO’s to fundraise with. The treasurers then broke down the funding for each specific LSO.
A motion was made to add $200 from the ad hoc funding to pay for 2 attendee’s admission to
the BLSA Academic Retreat. Unanimously passed.

Of the $6,150 avaliale for the Fall, after allocating the funding to various LSO’s there is $237
available for ad hoc funding.
A motion was made to approve the budget as proposed by the treasurers. Unanimously
passed.
At approximately 5:36 pm the meeting was adjourned.
