Competitive marketplace for grain

Quality assurance

GrainCorp’s quality assurance system operates along the entire supply chain from receival to customer delivery. We understand the importance of food safety and quality requirements to our customers.

Our quality system begins with grading farmers’ loads on delivery. We strictly maintain quality in storage, and test commodities during loading to domestic and export markets, to ensure customer specifications are satisfied.

Our testing along the supply chain is supported by a network of four NATA* accredited laboratories. The laboratories ensure that we are at the forefront of quality control, allowing GrainCorp to fulfil its commitment to deliver consistently high quality grain.

In addition, our grain specialists provide advice to customers globally on grist management, malting and food barley analysis, food safety, grain/flour quality, micro-ingredients, grain storage and hygiene.

We have a proud track record of delivering strong sales performance for Australian growers. The competitive marketplace created in our system means domestic and international grain buyers are actively competing to buy grain in our network, and our marketing teams provide direct access to domestic and global markets.

There are over 150 active buyers in our system. Buyers and sellers can choose from a range of transaction types.

The high demand for grain in our system is underpinned by our ownership and expert management of key assets in the grain supply chain. This allows us to offer quality assured grain, efficiency in transport and confidence of supply.
