Brief‘Design a product that will allow people who are living with MS to interact more comfortably and independently within there
own environment, whilst being lightweight and ergonomic but without forgetting the Positive Design Framework. It must be
washable/wipeable, comfortable to use, whilst ensuring this does not disrupt the carers in their daily routine.
The product should bring the world to the user by stimulating the senses, in the hope that it will either distract
the person from/ reduce the duration of muscle spasms, one of the many side affects to MS.’
How can I do this…

With this?
I realised this project isn’t about designing a new product entirely
….
It is about re-designing the way people with MS interact with the
products that they already have
‘Similar to morphine, it acts as an analgesic and sedative, diminishing our perception of pain.’

Experimentation with the Pillow Pockets

Pillow Pockets Brief
The Pockets must be lightweight, not affect the weight and balance of the pillow with/ without items inside. It must hold in this instance;
home phone, tablet, remote control, coffee and iPad.
The pocket must allow the person to interact with their item’s at ease whether picking it up, putting down or even leaving it in their pillow.
