To appease the belief that the world needs a “one size fits all” definition of how and

when to recognize revenue (and enhance the disclosures related thereto), the FASB

has finalized ASU 2014-09 Revenue from Contracts, which impacts most any entity

that has revenue. We will discuss the five steps involved in recognizing revenue under

this new pronouncement, as well as potential changes in implementation dates/

methods for this all-encompassing new rule.

punish accountants who fail in their professional obligation to protect investors. We will

discuss the latest developments.
