The NEW SmartReader dashboardThe first time you log into SmartReader, the home page dashboard will look similar to the image below. The dashboard can be used to make quick settings adjustments.

Scrolling down below the dashboard will reveal the results library, which contains pastdrug screen results. Results can be viewed, printed, and emailed from the reader.

Run a Quick Screen (on-screen result)

A Quick Screen is ideal when no result form is required. The Quick Screenbypasses all data entry and displays an on-Screen result in a minute.

Quick Screen offers a fast, no-data entryon-screen drug test result. Quick Screen results are stored in the results library by ID number in the event the information is ever required.

STEP 1 - Scan rapid test kit

Place the test kit on the stand with the test stripsfacing the SmartReader camera. If using a double-sided test, you can scan either side.

Run a Smart Screen (documented result)

Because SmartReaders are shipped pre-programmed with user information,getting started is simple and fast.

STEP 1 - Scan rapid test kit

Place the test kit on the stand with the test stripsfacing the SmartReader camera. If using a double-sided test, you can scan either side.

STEP 2 - Add donor details

After the test kit is scanned, the SmartReader willask for the donor’s information. There are three ways to add donor details.

1. Scan donor’s ID card or driver’s license.2. Enter donor details using the keyboard.3. Select donor from ‘donor library’

STEP 3 - Select a contact (optional)

A contact is the person that ordered the test and will be listed on the report. By adding or selectinga contact, a copy of the final result form will be emailed automatically.

The on-screen Results PageAfter a test has been conducted, the result and options are displayed. Thisis called the Results Screen. The operator is able to view and manage theresult before it is sent out to any contacts.

FINALIZE THE RESULTSelecting any option completesthe drug screen and resultswill be released to all contacts.

TEMPERATURETapping the icon will changethe result to: “Verified by the collector”

Validate for Better ResultsThe new Validate feature can be seen on the “On-Screen result” before atest is finalized. The new technology is designed to help you get the bestpossible results.

When to use the Validate feature?

• Result is unexpected • Ensure adequate time • Collector requested rescan • Suspect under developed alerts

HOW IT WORKS

By selecting the Validate option, the current drug screen is paused for (3) three minutes. This delay helps ensure that the test kit has been given enough time to completely develop.

At the end of the (3) three minutes, the reader will requesta final scan of the drug test kitand a final result will be displayed and recorded.

The SampleCheck™ systemSampleCheck is a proprietary technology that offers another layer of protection against specimen tampering. The SampleCheck™ feature is designed to help identify suspect samples and will notify you via three alerts. The SampleCheck™ alerts explain why the sample is suspect andallow the user to take action or ignore the alert.
