Current innovations in legal service delivery: What are the innovators doing?Advances in technology, business processes, demographics, internationalisation (and many more areas) are changing the way law firms deliver their services. This session will explore innovative trends in delivering improved, faster, and cheaper services to clients; how law firms collaborate with clients to create ‘win-win’ solutions; how law firms use technology and big data to improve client advice and service and drive profitability; how law firms incorporate legal managed service providers into the value-chain to drive efficiency and increase market share; and how technology is, will and may cause lawyers to focus on high-value advisory tasks.

The subject will be examined through two panels: one focused on projects that have been largely internally conceived and executed; the other focused on collaboration with third parties. Each panel will explore experiences, results and lessons learned from innovation projects undertaken by a number of law firms, either alone or through collaboration and joint ventures with clients, other potential business partners and major technology companies.
