• Within each of six forums (Forums 1-6), there are 4 or 4 topics.

• A new forum opens every two weeks. • Points can be earned in the following ways:‒ Posting (creating a new thread) in any

topic within a forum earns two points. ‒ Replying (adding to an existing thread) to

any thread within any topic within a forum also earns two points.

Forum grades do not show up instantaneously. Periodically, A program is manually run (MSU Quick Discussion Grader)It can take up to a week for points to show up in a student’s grades.A grade of zero simply means assignment is not yet completed.Forums remain open for the entire course.

Posting or replying more than once with any particular forum does not earn additional points.Students are encouraged to participate more than the minimum amount required.

Use descriptive titles in the subject fields (don’t use general or obvious terms).For example, in the Nutrients and Fertilizers topic, what’s shown below would NOT be specific enough to induce students to see what is being said.

• Within each lecture’s set of questions• Create a sub library for each of the

BS 1 to 5 difficulty scale.• Strive for equal number of question

in each difficulty sub library.• Restructure exams so that each

student draws an equal number of questions with regards to difficulty ratings.
