In the BIC Group number 32 Sharehol- ders’ Leer, you will discover that BIC had a strong presence during the back-to-school season, on television, on radio, as well as in stores notably through licenses and partnerships. Also, since our last Shareholders’ Leer, we announced our 9 months results on 21 October 2015. These results were good, with solid growth in all Consumer categories. Net Sales growth was well balanced across geographies, with mid-single digit increases in both developed and developing markets, including a good performance in Latin America. In Stationery, the back-to- school season sell-out was good in Europe, North America and Mexico while performance in Lighters and Shavers continued to be strong. BIC Graphic Net Sales were stable despite a timing impact in promotional calendars in the United States. These results have reinforced our confidence to achieve our Full Year 2015 objectives: Net Sales should grow between 4% and 5% on a comparative basis and Normalized IFO margin is expected to slightly increase compared to last year. Planned over a 5 year period, the project includes an investment of 12 million euros to extend the production facility at Samer, the site at which employees will be offered a position as the project is completed. In the BIC Group number 32 Sharehol-ders’ Letter, you will discover that BIC had a strong presence during the back-to-school season, on television, on radio, as well as in stores notably through licenses and partnerships.

Also, since our last Shareholders’ Letter, we announced our 9 months results on 21 October 2015. These results were good, with solid growth in all Consumer categories. Net Sales growth was well balanced across geographies, with mid-single digit increases in both developed and developing markets, including a good performance in Latin America. In Stationery, the back-to- school season sell-out was good in Europe, North America and Mexico while performance in Lighters and Shavers continued to be strong. BIC Graphic Net Sales were stable despite a timing impact in promotional calendars in the United States.

These results have reinforced our confidence to achieve our Full Year 2015 objectives: Net Sales should grow between 4% and 5% on a comparative basis and Normalized IFO margin is expected to slightly increase compared to last year.

The BIC Group has presented an investment project to the works council of its subsidiary, Conté (Stationery Category), intended to modernize its industrial facilities in the North of France (Pas-de-Calais). The project includes the transfer of the majority of production lines currently in Boulogne-sur-Mer to another existing site in Samer, in the same region.

This industrial project would on one hand consolidate the production of high growth, mass-produced products at a modern, integrated and competitive site, and on the other hand strengthen, in the region of Boulogne-sur-Mer, BIC’s historical center of expertise in mechanical pencils, graphite pencils and coloring products.

Planned over a 5 year period, the project includes an investment of 12 million euros to extend the production facility at Samer, the site at which employees will be offered a position as the project is completed.

Structural innovation around the bIC® Cristal® pen10,000 BIC® Cristal® pens have recently become the subject of a new sculpture installation at the International Association for Shell and Spatial Structures (IASS) symposium in Amsterdam (The Netherlands). The designers of the projects were students, engineers and researchers from architecture, design and engineering schools in Marne la Vallée (France) and Miami (United States). Their project was to use the mechanical and aesthetic properties of the BIC® Cristal® pen to change its function into a structurally innovative pavilion.

bIC South Africa partners with the 2015 rugby World Cup Springboks Team

BIC South Africa has launched a new pocket lighter series to build support for the national team, who took the third place at the World Cup in the end of October. BIC also developed a ‘Limited Edition Springbok Kit’ with the ultimate aim to become the official South African ‘braai’ (the local expression for barbecue) accessory. This Springboks branded tin contains a pack of BIC® Firelighters, a BIC® Megalighter™ and a BIC® Springboks pocket lighter.

On 13 October 2015, BIC “Fight For Your Write” spokesperson Pam Allyn was featured on the nationally syndicated National Public Radio (NPR) show Here & Now.
