Bulletin for February 2017
February, 2017
Dear Parish Family,
As we begin the month of February, we begin with Catholic Schools Week. Saint Francis
Parish has a great gift in having a school over one hundred years old. We have a tremen-
dous team of administrators, staff and families at Saint Francis School.
I’d like to personally thank our Principal, Kelli Gruszka, Vice Principal, Cindy Schoorl,
and our School Board, Matt Billings, Saul Hernandez, Sandy Bakich, Teri Shambaugh,
Bill Van Skike, Sophie Zimmerman, Andrew Zaninovich, Katie Kirschenmann and Cathy
Register. They are a group of highly dedicated individuals who make our school a great
place for our students. May God continue to bless the school community.
I’m excited to announce that Fr. Jude Eli will be here the week of February 27th and the
first week of March. He will be leading presentations on “Current Theology trends in
Roman Catholic Theology”. Fr. Jude Eli brings a deep spiritual insight into current catholic
issues.
As we enter the month of February, we are reminded that the Lenten season begins with
Ash Wednesday on March 1st.
Blessings,
The Month of The Holy Family

“The plan of salvation also includes those who
acknowledge the Creator, in the first place amongst

#841 quoting Lumen Gentium 16)
Do you have questions about Islam? Fears about Islam?
Come and learn about the true faith of Islam. This

EXALT 2016: "For everyone who exalts himself
will be humbled, but the one who humbles himself
will be exalted"! Luke 14:11
Come exalt Jesus through a time of praise
and adoration through the blessed Sacrament. This
is a time for the whole family to come together to
listen to God's word through
dynamic guest speakers. Our next EXALT is Tuesday February 7, 2017
6:30pm-8:00pm in the main church.
Guest speaker, our very own and beloved Msgr.
Craig Harrison, will answer the question, How does
God help when it hurts? More specifically, why
does God allow it, and where is he in in our suffer-
ing? This will be a great night for the entire parish.
