The story is set in Sydney in 1947. It is New Years Day and the temperature is 32.7 degrees Celsius. You are one of the thousands of people hurrying to Bondi Beach in their convertible cars, unaware of the massive hailstorm that will occur at 10am. The hailstorm first begins in the Blue Mountains. Slowly, it proceeds in a North-Easterly direction, covering nearby suburbs with its hard ice stones. Soon the hailstorm reaches Bondi Beach. People are running everywhere, trying to dodge the hard missiles that is the size of billiard balls. Hailstones are hitting surfers in the sea, pelting the water and making small splashes everywhere. Can you escape the disastrous hailstorm and be one of the millions to survive without any injury?

As you enter the cool water, you hear a little splash not so far away from where you’re standing. Thinking nothing of it, you start swimming. Soon you realise that there’s a hailstorm. You quickly get out of the water to find that you’re stranded on the beach. People are trying to dodge the hailstones whilst others are screaming at the top of their lungs. You have two options: Option one: drive away from the beach in your carOption two: find shelter on the beach

You decide to get in the car and drive home. As you drive you see people running through the streets and try to dodge the hailstones. Some are unlucky and are being hit as they lay on the ground, unmoving. You hear a small tear through the roof of the car and see hailstones in the passenger seat beside you. You quickly change the speed of the car, hoping to not get hit by the hailstones. Suddenly, you feel a knock to the head and you realise that you’re slipping into unconsciousness. The car swerves off road and knocks into a pole. You lose , if you want to start the story again, click here: start again

You decide to find shelter on the street. You wander along the almost deserted street, watching out for hailstones. Finally, you find a concrete walled building looming into your view. Opening the glass door of the building, you find the place is unoccupied. A bed is in the corner of the room and a cupboard is across from it. You go to open the cupboard to find that it is packed with food. Withdrawing a sigh of relief you lay on the bed and soon fall in to a deep sleep. . .You hear a faint knock on the door. Getting up from the bed you see that the time is 3:40pm. Opening the door you see a man outside. He tells you that the hailstorm has finally passed and asks if you have any injuries.
