The Epic of Gilgamesh Research Project and Presentation Mrs. Peden You will need to have prepared a presentation on your assigned Gilgamesh Tablet with your partner(s). Requirements:
1. Visual - what you plan to show the class should be appealing, clever, creative, original, and reflective of an important part of your topic. Power Points are not acceptable for the visual component. It is not acceptable to copy and paste pictures from the internet. (20 pts.)
2. Bullets of information - discuss all of the important parts of your topic in a minimum of 15 bullets. Be sure to chronologically account for the basic plot of the episode for you tablet. You should answer all of the provided questions for your tablet. This portion will be part of the study guide that you will distribute to all of your classmates. (30 pts.)
3. Sources - you are responsible for accessing and using good, scholarly sources. Your sources should be in proper MLA format and you must have a minimum of three sources. It is preferable that you print them out, but at the very least, you will need to document your sources at the bottom or end of your bullets of information sheet. Shmoop, SparkNotes, enotes, Wikipedia, or any other study guide source is not acceptable. Please see me if you have any reservations. (20 pts.)
4. Oral Report - you will highlight the significant features of your topic, display, and how it relates to the entire epic. Try to offer keen insights about your topic and be sure to share the oral portion with your partner(s). Your report should be no longer than 4 minutes. (20 pts.)
5. Decorum - it is important that you and your partner present your topic in a serious, scholarly manner. It would be preferable to dress for success, but it is also important that there are no lulls in the presentation, and you do not repeat yourselves. (10 pts.)
