MONDAY COURSESThe Singer and Songwriter Revolution: Chapter TwoSomething profound occurred in the world of music when writers began recording their own compositions instead of selling them to popular performers. It result-ed in ultra-revealing lyrics and emotionally authentic performances. This class will examine the lives of many well-known singers and songwriters of the 60s and 70s, including Nobel Laureate Bob Dylan, Paul Simon, Carole King, Joni Mitchell, Leonard Cohen and many others. Chapter Two will further examine many of these greats and unveil many overlooked writers and performers.
