The Eco Club strives to spread awareness amongst the students about the various issues that

are being faced by our planet regarding our environment and to foster an eco-friendly environment

in the college campus.

Eco club was started in the Department of Botany and was inaugurated on 18.01.2021 by our

beloved Principal Dr.R.Jayachandran. Distribution of T-Shirts, Tree plantation, Release of Eco club

Calendar was carried out on the day on Inauguration.

The objective of the Eco club includes the following:

To create environmental awareness among the students for the improvement of our environment

To inculcate the culture of eco-friendliness and to promote environmental conservation

To conduct various campaigns focused on Environmental issues to the Public.

To conduct various competition including poster competition, quiz, etc. related to Environment

To conduct field visit to water bodies/ rain water harvesting structures/ biodiversity parks.

To identify and follow water conservation strategies

To conduct various environment related activities such as construction of compost pits,

segregation of waste, tree plantation, tree census, preparation of biodiversity index of College.
