THE EARTH, THE SUN AND THE

ATMOSPHERE…

THE SUN IS RESPONSIBLE FOR…Wind: The patterns of

air start on the equator, where sun heats it.

Cooler air hits the warmer air causing the patterns of wind around all the world.

SUN IS RESPONSIBLE FOR…Ocean currents: Sun affects in two ways: it heats the ocean

creating wind and moving it in the form of friction.

It also affects by changing the temperature or salinity making it more denser

Currents depend on the density.

SUN IS RESPONSIBLE OF… Water cycle: It is responsible for:

condensation and evaporation.

When sun heats water it evaporates and it goes up in the air as water vapor

In the air the water cools and it condense into water droplets going back to Earth.

SUN IS RESPONSIBLE OF… Plant growth: It gives the

plants nutrients for growing.

The blue light make the leaves grow

Blue and red help to grow flowers

ENERGY INTERACTS WITH ATMOSPHERE AND EARTH… The energy that

interacts with the atmosphere is the electromagnetic wave

It interacts especially in 3 things:

Vegetation Water Soil.

CAUSES AND PATTERNS OF WIND… As mentioned before,

the warm air and the cool air hit crating patterns around the world.

Air movements toward the equator are called trade winds.

Prevailing Westerlies: is the movement of air to the west, it is responsible for the weather movement of the north hemisphere such as USA and Canada.

THE SEASONS… Earth is inclined

so it take other climate

Also because at the time in which the earth surrounds the sun it took different angles from the way it was before.
