OFFERING OF THE GIFTS

Following the homily moves to the altar where he places the Altar Gospel Book to

the left side of the altar.

The Presiding Minister, Deacon, or Sacred Minister unfolds the linen cloth

antemensium/corporal while awaiting the procession with the chalice, paten, bread,

and wine.

Prior to accepting these items, + blesses those who have brought them forth.

While the tithes and offerings are collected or brought forth, recites the offertory

prayers both in his native language and in Aramaic, first over the bread and then

over the chalice [now] filled with water and wine.

Fractions the right side of the Lamb of God, divides it into four parts, arranging

them on the paten’s edge in the form of the cross.

sanctifies the partakers thereof:

The fullness of the cup of faith and of the Holy Spirit.

Then takes the IC (upper portion of the seal),blesses ╬ the chalice with it, and
