Remit to the Diocese of Nebraska

THEOLOGICAL EDUCATION – A Sunday in January. This offering is often designated to be sent to the priest’s seminary. If so designated, please indicate the name of the seminary. All undesignated amounts will be used to aid seminarians sponsored by the Diocese. 1% of congregation’s budget is the goal to this fund. EPISCOPAL RELIEF AND DEVELOPMENT – a Sunday in Lent. This offering is used by the Presiding Bishop to help victims of disaster, natural and manmade, throughout the world. CHURCH IN JERUSALEM AND THE MIDDLE EAST – Good Friday. This offering is for the work of the church in Jerusalem and the Middle East. SAINT MONICA’S HOME FOR WOMEN – On the Sunday following May 4, the commemoration of Monica, Mother of Augustine of Hippo, in 387. This offering is for the general purposes of the Home. Congregations and individuals are encouraged to support the Home on a continuing basis throughout the year. THE BISHOP’S DISCRETIONARY FUND – This offering is collected when the Bishop makes a visitation to a parish. The purpose is to provide the Bishop with resources for charitable purposes and the support of such special projects as may advance the mission of the Diocese of Nebraska.
