A 1940’s busboy aspires to be a blues player but must decide how much he’s willing to pay for success.

THE DEVIL’SCROSSROAD

Mac is a 25-year old busboy longing to be a blues legend, while working in a bar on the outskirts of 1940’s Chicago. One night, he musters up the courage

to ask lessons from Fingers, an old, experien ed traveling blues musician playing at the bar. Fingers instead tells him to go and meet a mysterious man

who taught him everything he know. Mac meets the cryptic man and finds that in order to feel the blues, he needs to cut a deal. A conflicted Mac must decide

whether or not he’s willing to make a sacrifice to follow his passion.

Jeremy KahnMac

Jeremy is currently based in Chicago where he‘s an artistic ensemble member with Theatre Mir. His theatre credits include the world premiere of Moonshiner with the Jackalope Theatre Co., Shakespod at the Willing Suspension Theatre in Edinburgh, Chicagoland with the Inconvenience Theater, Caucasian Chalk Circle at Theatre Mi, and The Fantasticks with SF Playhouse. Jeremy also played a supporting role in the feature film The Removed (2011). He holds a B.F.A. from The Theatre School at DePaul University and is proudly represented by Aria Talent.

Fernando JonesFingers

American Bluesman, educator, songwriter and scholar Fernando Jones was born to loving Mississippi parents on the South Side of Chicago. Inspired by his older brothers, Foree and Gregory, Jones taught himself how to play guitar when he was four years old. Currently, he’s a bandleader with a power trio second to none, Blues Ensemble director at Columbia College Chicago, and a highly sought after lecturer focusing on music pedagogy and literacy improvement whose clientele includes the Smithsonian Institute and the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. On July 9, 2010 Jones received a Proclamation from Pat Quinn, Governor of the State of Illinois, for founding Blues Camp.

Megan StortiTheresa

Megan is a Chicago based actress who recently relocated to St. Louis to play Bianca for Sean Graney's The Taming of the Shrew with the Shakespeare Festival of St. Louis. Her previous film credits include Orange directed by Ryan Buckley, and Shades of Grace directed by Bryan Dobrik. Her theater credits include As You Like It at the Chicago Shakespeare Theatre and the Illinois Shakespeare Festival, Titus Andronicus for DreamLogic Theaterworks, The Three Musketeers for the Illinois Shakespeare Festival, Rhythms at the Phoenix Theatre, and A Midsummer Night's Dream for Putnam County Playhouse. Megan received her BA in Acting from Illinois State University.

Adrian ByrdBlind Man

Adrian Byrd began his acting career after graduating from Columbia College Chicago. His theater credits include Raisin In the Sun, The Men Shall also Gather, and Open Admissions for an Evanston theater; Bang The Drum Slowly at the LookingGlass Theater; and Of One Blood with David Swimmer. He worked with the Chicago Theater Company in Pill Hill where he won the JEFF Ensemble (1994), and was later nomi-nated by JEFF as Best Actor (1995) for his role in Tommy Parkers Celebrated Minstrel Show. His TV credits include the Chicago TV Series Lady Blue, Untouchables, and Tough Target with JJ Bittenbinder. He also played Tater/Jesse James in Heaven Is A Playground, shot in Chicago. Taking a break to raise his daughter, Adrian has now returned with equal determination, and has landed a role in the fall Series The Playboy Club (2011) and a small independent film Chief (2011).

Nick PagonakisDirector

Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, Nick Pagonakis holds a Bachelors degree in Film Directing from Columbia College Chicago. In his tenure in Chicago, Nick directed several short films including a crime drama The Underboss (2009), a dark comedy A Suspicious Tomorrow (2010), and most recently the period drama The Devil’s Crossroad (2011). Nick enjoys creating character driven stories that bring the audience to a place of dramatic irony and thought. Nick now resides in Los Angeles, California where he plans to continue to pursue his filmmaking career.

Sofia Gomez GarciaProducer

Sofia Gomez was born and raised in Monterrey, Mexico. In 2005 she embraced her passion for filmmaking and competed in the ITESM High School Short Film Festival, where her film Va a llover (2006) won Best Short. She went on to attend the Voladero Films short film production weekend course at UANL while being a full-time engineering student at ITESM. In 2009 she moved to the US to attend Columbia College Chicago where she currently studies Film & Video Production. Her first student production, Final Revision (2009) was featured in several film festivals including the Chicago Short Reels Film Fest, Silk City Film Festival, Young Cuts Montreal Film Festival, and received an Accolade Award (2009). Her short Kyrie Eleison was also screened at the 15th Annual Big Screen Student Film Festival and won Jury Award at Take 1 Film Festival (2011).

Mike AndersonDirector of Photography

Mike Anderson was raised just outside of Chicago in Joliet Il. He developed a love for film that eventually led him to Columbia College where he began to specialize in cinematography. He has been in steady demand getting work as a gaffer for features, short films, and commercials while also acting as Cinematographer on several shorts. He was selected as one of only 4 individuals to serve as director of photography on one of the practicum films. The Devil’s Crossroad marks his largest scale film as Director of Photography to date, having had to manage a crew of over twenty people in lighting and camera department. He hopes to one day become a member of the ASC and shoot large budget films for a living.

Joe LissuzzoProduction Designer

Since starting his filmmaking career in 2008, Joe has developed his talent in a number of areas by working on several projects and attending Columbia College Chicago. Immediately Joe began studying Production Design, both from the classroom and from various projects. In addition, he also has a strong enthusiasm for literature and art, which helps him see film from another angle. Joe's production design credits include ten short films (including two Columbia College Practicum films), numerous music videos and a production assistant position on Transformers 3. Joe plans to continue to study all aspects of filmmaking while earning a Bachelor's Degree from Columbia in May of 2011. In the future, he aspires to make a living working on feature films all over the world.
