What is a composite door?Your front door is one of the most important features of your home, so why not create a stylish entrance that you, your guests and passers by can admire. Come home to a centrepiece that is strong, safe and secure, functional for everyday use, energy efficient and pleasing on the eye.

Our composite doors incorporate a combination of the finest quality components that all purposefully work together to create a high performance door. The surface of the door is made from GRP (Glass Reinforced Polyester), which is considerably stronger than PVCu.

The Definitive Collection composite door is built to last and will easily stand up to the challenging demands of the British climate.

From the 1st October 2010, new building regulations relating to doors came into force and you can be assured that all of the composite doors contained within The Definitive Collection achieve or exceed the new 1.8 ‘U’ value requirement. ‘U’ values are a measurement designed to measure the heat loss through products such as windows and doors, the lower the value the more energy efficient the product becomes.

Our composite doors are all bespoke and are individually made to measure with your own personal specification and colour/design choices. Our doors are covered by a comprehensive guarantee so please speak to your installer for further details.

One philosophy... Two choices... As well as choice of style, colour and glass, you can also choose from one of our two outer-frame options to create that perfect match. The outer-frame is also available in a range of coloured and wood-grained foils.

Our aluminium 44mm rebated threshhold carries the best weather performance and is available in either silver or gold. The shape of this threshold mirrors either the chamfered or sculptured frames providing a suited product.

We also offer two different sizes of PVCu threshold.

the outer skin... The outer skin is compression moulded using Glass Reinforced Polyester. This creates a high-definition grain effect that cannot be achieved using standard panel technology.

the core... The core is filled with an insulating core of 100% CFC-free polyeurethane. The performance of this product is exceptional, outperforming timber nine times.

the perimeter... The core and timber surround is protected by a perimeter of water resistant polymer instead of timber. Rather than purely relying on treated timber, this product ensures that no water can penetrate to the core. Being a polymer, it has none of the drawbacks of timber.

KENSINGTON The Kensington range of glass is simplistic, but elegant. The 10mm clear border combined with sandblasted centre glass allows just the perfect amount of light to flood through the entrance of your home. No backing glass available.

PRAIRIE (TRIPLE GLAZED) Simplicity, balance and exceptional quality. The purity of the Prairie glass draws its inspiration from Frank Lloyd Wright, one of America’s greatest architects. CAMEO (TRIPLE GLAZED) The ‘Cameo’ is one of our favourites! This range is handcrafted with glue chip bevels and zinc came. The decorative panel is insulated between two panes of toughened safety glass, so the lead-work is protected from the elements so won’t oxidise and is much easier to maintain. A stunning unit whilst very classic in its style. No backing glass available.

ELEGANCE (TRIPLE GLAZED) With Elegance, you can create a timely and truly stunning visual statement. Fluid lines, generous curves and inspirational design combined with extraordinary craftsmanship produces an outstanding focus for your home. No backing glass available.

BARCELONA BLACK This unique decorative design is a new addition to the Definitive Collection and looks fantastic in many different coloured doors. The etched design is encapsulated within the sealed unit for ease of cleaning & offers a high level of privacy whilst also allowing plenty of light into the home. No backing glass available.

FLAIR (TRIPLE GLAZED) Effortless elegance and eye-catching style combine to create a stunning focal point. The sweeping polished zinc cames combine beautifully with the combination of the ever popular glue chip and kasumi textured glasses to create a simple minimalist design option. JEWEL (TRIPLE GLAZED) The ‘Jewel’ range features a very contemporary design coupled with a glistening multi-faceted jewels that refract light with dramatic effect. ABSTRACT (TRIPLE GLAZED) A rich visual symphony for the senses, this contemporary design pays homage to the curvaceous. If you want to make a unique style statement, you’ll love the Abstract glass. This dazzling fusion of multi-faceted jewels, cut textured glass pieces and hand bevelled glass will sparkle with the changing light. No backing glass available.

ECLIPSE (TRIPLE GLAZED) The Eclipse range is a perfect blend of traditional and contemporary design and will look stunning in both modern and period properties. The glass panels are triple glazed with a zinc came and the design is also encapsulated within the insulated unit. Two strong backing textures provide a tasteful backdrop and the cut bevels are topped with a fine glue chip texture to offer good levels of obscurity. No backing glass available.

ZINC STAR (TRIPLE GLAZED) Simple in design, Zinc Art Star combines glue chipped star bevels with a zinc caming. The decorative bevelled elements stand out from the neutral obscure glass that surrounds them in striking fashion. No backing glass available.

CRYSTAL Each ‘Crystal’ glass panel features state of the art resin technology that provides a number of aesthetic and practical benefits. A popular choice for our ‘Ayton’ door style, this glass design is laminated for additional security and will hold together even if broken. No backing glass available.

MURANO BLACK Inspired by the masters of elegance, the Murano ‘oozes’ Italian flair and charm. An imaginative fusion of linear motifs and bold sweeping curves, Murano is our most popular Etch and Fusion Art design unit. Fancy some colour? CRYSTAL HARMONY This traditional bevelled glass design is available for certain styles of doors and with a choice of coloured borders, can really add character to your home. Optional backing glass available.

SecurityAs one of the oldest international brands, Yale is among the most respected names in the lock industry, with millions of Yale locks in use worldwide. You will be comforted to know that our Composite doors are fitted with the worlds leading lock brand Yale as standard with the exception of our contemporary door range which are fitted with Winkhaus key-wind locks. Both Yale and Winkhaus products are also accredited with ‘Secured by Design’.

The Winkhaus ‘Thunderbolt’ key-wind lock is used in conjunction with our stainless steel bar handles or any door supplied without a lever handle. The euro cylinder (where you put the key) is positioned higher up the door. When the door is closed the lock will engage on the latch only, to lock or re-open the door from outside you will need to use the key.
