Torc’s online Career Portal
Our interactive and self-directed Career Portal is an exciting new addition to our suite of career planning and
career management tools.
The portal is driven from a personalized dashboard which presents a number of learning modules supported
by tools to build a CV, analyse skills, develop a career plan, prepare for interview and manage a job search.
The portal also contains videos, articles, company information and research tools to support career
progression.
This self directed portal allows a candidate to manage their career and gain timely advice on all aspects of
career planning and transition.

the modules.

How does the Career Portal work?
The categories presented in the dashboard consist of learning modules providing access to video, audio and
downloadable resources. The ‘Planning your CV’ module provides the all the tools and advice needed to
develop a professional CV.
In the top right hand corner there are five tabs.
Four of these tabs allow navigation to different tools, e.g. ‘My CV’.
1. My CV
This opens the CV Builder and presents a number of input screens with advice and guidance along the way .It
allows the candidate to download a CV template of their choice – for example, reverse chronological or
skills-based. This is a Word document that can be saved and customized as required. Hovering over the
question marks will provide useful tips.
