Copernicus Marine Service CMEMS• Powerful tool for ocean monitoring• necessary reference for all NRT applications• Towards more consistency with NRT analyses (HR, observing system shape) -> requested by

CMEMS users

Intercomparison and ensemble approaches are favored to provide uncertaintyestimates, international HR reanalyses intercomparisons are planned

Short to mid term perspectives: higher resolution , more assimilation of Ocean Colourobservations, reanalyses for waves
