Progressive sealing and gripping mechanismTheplasticsegmentsintheringsizes2"–5"consistofonepart,madeofPOM.Furthermorethedesignoftheringenableslargerangecoverageinoutsidediameters.Theplasticsegmentsintheringsizes6"–24"consistoftwoparts;thewedgeandthetopple.Thewedgeismadeof POM and is in contact with the pipematerial. AngularityThe MULTI/JOINT® 3000 Plus system has a nominalangularity of 8° per socket end. For a couplingthis means a nominal angularity of maximum 16°.The angularity ensures flexibility during and afterinstallation. The flexibility allows the pipe tomove inthe fittingafter installationwithoutcompromising thefunctioning.Thistocompensatefordifferentialgroundsettlementafterthetrenchisbackfilled.
