The CATSINaM Conference has been an annual event for CATSINaM Members for seventeen years. It brings together experienced and student nurses and midwives, clinicians, educators, policy makers and administrators from across the nation.
The intention is to share information and work toward an integrated approach to improving health care and health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander peoples, and improving the conditions for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Nurses and Midwives, and therefore the recruitment and retention of our workforce. It also provides an opportunity to showcase the very real difference being made in
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health by our Members. This year we want to hear from our Members about how we can strengthen our collective identity and uniqueness.
We hope you have a fruitful three days, networking, seeing old friends, and making new friends, and we look forward to hearing your stories and cele-brating our achievements with you and pride in our identity.
Yours in unity,
On behalf of the Congress of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Nurses and Midwives (CATSINaM) Board, I would like to welcome you to the 2015 Annual CATSINaM Conference.
