Every year, people always hit me up for tips and tricks on how to get tickets for the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. This year, the festival's twin weekends happen on April 10-12 and April 17-19 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio.

5 things to know about buying Coachella tickets

1. The three-day passes are $375 for general admission and $899 for VIP. Car camping is $85. The price is the same for both weekends. The pass limit is two. They go on sale at noon Wednesday.

2. To get passes, register ahead of time with Front Gate Tickets via Coachella.com and familiarize yourself with the ordering process. The festival even created a step-by-step with pictures.

3. It tends to be easier to get passes for weekend two over weekend one.

4. Don’t give up. Last year, when it initially looked like some passes were sold out, some folks who were seeking tickets were able to get some after logging back in a few minutes later.

5. Even if a specific type of is sold out, look for other options, such as a wristband with a shuttle pass. The price is $435 for a GA wristband with a shuttle pass, but you will have a ticket and you won’t be stuck in the parking lot at 4 a.m., either.
