joins a remnant of dwarfs and talking animals, leads them into battle against Miraz and the telemarian army

calling the children back to Narnia
meanwhile, Jadis tries to convince Caspian to free her
But, in the end, Peter wins the duel with Miraz
Smuggled Theology
Choices have consequences
“you will never know what would have happened if you had obeyed me the first time.’
Christ is the true myth
“Let us return to our classification and firstly to Miracles of Fertility. The earliest of these was the
conversion of water into wine at the wedding feast in Cana. This miracle proclaims that the
God of all wine is present. The vine is one of the blessings sent by Jahweh: The is the reality
behind the false god Bacchus. Every year, as part of the Natural order, God makes wine.”
Eustace ScrubbEdmund and Lucy are staying with their irritating cousin
(who has no imagination or courage) when they are drawn into a painting of a ship
The Dawn Treader is on a sea journey to rescue the seven lost lords of Narnia banished by Miraz
ReepicheepChief Mouse of Narnia, member of the Most Noble Order of the Lion and know for his skill
with a sword
–Reepicheep
“My own plans are made. While I can, I sail east in the Dawn Treader. When she fails me, I paddle east in my coracle. When she sinks, I shall swim east with my four paws. And when I can swim no longer, if I have not reached Aslan’s country, or shot
over the edge of the world into some vast cataract, I shall sink with my nose to the sunrise.”
at the end of the world you can ride the wave into Aslan’s country (which has doors which open out into all of the worlds)
But, the children are told to return home. Since Lucy and Edmund are too old ever to come back, Aslan encourages them to know him in their world by another name.
Smuggled Theology
Out of ignorance (having never read mythology), Eustace lays on a Dragon’s treasure
He turns into a dragon, but undergoes a change of heart (overcoming his ego-centrism) after being befriended by Reepicheep, repents, sheds his skin, and is baptized
Lucy and the magic bookAslan appears when she contemplates the beauty spell and when she says the visibility spell, but chastises her for saying the eavesdropping spell. He counsels, “Don’t run away from who you are” and promises to sing her the song she has forgotten.
