The Chaos Dept. was started by Amber Johnson in
2012 in her hometown of Baltimore, Md.
She combines a variety of self taught techniques and a
seemingly chaotic mix of materials to create pieces
that show the fun and beauty of the unpredictable in
an effort to inspire the wearer to be creative in defin-
ing their own unique style.
Inspired by and named after Chaos Theory which
states that seemingly random things and occurrences
are not really random at all and that there is underly-
ing order if only looked upon and considered, is how
she describes her own creative process.
