DESCRIPTION

I recently presented to a class of grad students at Dallas Baptist University on the subject of the changing workforce and how to adapt (survive). This is the preso that I created for that lecture. Hat-Tip to Kevin Wheeler of the FutureofTalent.org, whose presentation at TalentNet Live Dallas 2014 provided the impetus for this preso. Several of the slides included are from Kevin's preso, focused on the Future of Talent and the current trends that are impacting the workforce. Thanks too, to one my favorite authors and speakers, Seth Godin, whose blog http://sethgodin.typepad.com/ encouraged me long before most people were even reading blogs. He challenged me to "build a trail," and I used his material (slightly adapted) for the nine interview questions included in this preso. I am including a link to a picture-video that I created and included as part of the presentation. It's a picture-collage detailing work-life from the 1940's to present day. The video is set to the backdrop of a song by Lecrae titled, "Nuthin" (from his recent album, Anomaly): http://animoto.com/play/d9bwmM1tyO64zcr6KNtSxQ
