U.S. Trade Deficit with China

in February 2005 was at the lowest level since June 2004

Feb. ’05 U.S. imports of textiles and clothing from China rose 9.8% even though America’s overall trade gap with China narrowed to $13.9 billion, down 9.2% from Jan. ’05 deficit of $15.3 billion due to increasing U.S. exports to China and declining imports outside of textiles.
