1. Purpose of Founding

• To enhance Japanese shipbuilding, shipping, and ocean

technologies to ever-higher levels and to keep them known worldwide

• To develop a research & development platform by working together

with shipping companies, shipbuilders, the shipping classification society, and marine machinery manufacturers

• To quickly obtain a real-time understanding of global trends and

changes, constantly aim to provide the world’s top-level technologies, and meet the challenges with “Full Speed Ahead”
