CORPORATE IDENTITY GUIDELINES

The CBA logo is a unique combination of a number of carefully constructed elements (the ClayBrick Association kiln icon, the descriptor text and the wordmark) creating a strong and clear identity - value it, take care of it and do not undermine it with attempts to change or manipulate it in any way.

Do not attempt to reproduce or recreate the symbol or the text - always use the master artwork when reproducing the logo.

The CBA logotype can be used in conjunction with the EnvironmentallyFriendly Logotype to re-enforce the ClayBrick Associations position on environmental concerns, as well asto emphasise the environmentallyfriendly qualities of genuine claybricks.

To make sure the logotype really stands out to maximum effect, give it room to breathe. Keep other graphic elements or type away from it. The diagram below shows the minimum area you should leave clear around the logotype and the simple way to calculate it. In principle, leave as much space as you can without influ-encing your designs.

The Environmentally Friendly may appear on it own, as long as the Clay-Brick logo is somewhere on the item.

* The CBA and Environmentally Friendly Logotypes are alsoavailable in Afrikaans.

ENVIRONMENT FRIENDLYLOGOTYPE

The CBA Member Endorsement logotype can be used in conjunction with the Environmentally Friendly Logotype to re-enforce the Clay-Brick Associations position on en-vironmental concerns, as well as to emphasise the environment friendly qualities of genuine clay bricks.

* The CBA Member Endorsement and Environmentally Friendly Logo-types are also available in Afrikaans.

The Associate members of the CBA are encouraged to use this logo on all communication.

Colour application forms a vital part of the ClayBrick. The guidelines as stipulated must be adhered to at all times to maintain colour consistency.

The Logo is allowed to be placed on top of an image, as long as the image is not too busy, thus distracting from the logo. A drop shadow may be used to help the logo to stand out.

Typeface allocation creates a uniformity in the brand appearance, adding to its visual and aesthetic appeal.

Careful attenion should be paid to using the correct typeface at all times. Suppliers (printers, sign companies etc) should be advised of these specifications.

PLEASE NOTE:It is sometimes necessary during campaigns and promotions to introduce typefaces specific to certain themes/ideas - this is acceptable for headlines and campaign copy - but body copy etc must still align to the guidelines set out.

As a secondary font Arial may be use for web or PC application due to primary font verdana not being available.
