flooding and severe weather. The governor’s proclamation
activated the Iowa Individual Assistance Grant Program
(IIAGP) and the Iowa Disaster Case Management program.
The four counties in the Mid-Sioux service area declared are
Ida, Sioux, Cherokee and Plymouth. Individuals suffering
losses of personal property or having structural damage to
their personal residence may contact Mid-Sioux
Opportunity, Inc. at 712-722-3611 (Sioux), 712-364-2175 (Ida),

A large crowd attended Prairie Rose Golf Club’s Casino Night
on Friday, March 1. The event was originally scheduled for
Saturday, February 23 but bad weather caused it to be
postponed. Judging by the large turnout, many people were
eager to get out of the house.

Be the person who finds a way when all others find is
an excuse.
I got a really cute dog and decided to call him
Threemiles. It sounds great to say I walk Threemiles
twice a day.
Lonesome Jack says…
Don’t you just love snow—when it’s somewhere else.
Talking to people is good for your brain. I guess
I didn’t talk enough.
Some fishermen only catch fish by the tale.
Nothing says I mean business like using a shopping
cart in the liquor store.
You can’t take a bullet back once you’ve pulled the
trigger. That’s all for now.
