THE BROKEN CHAINby Ron Tranmer

We little knew that morning that God was going to call your name,In life we loved you dearly; in death we do the same.

It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone. For part of us went with you, the day God called you home.

You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide, And though we cannot see you, you are always at our side.

Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same,But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.

“Well done, good and faithful servant. Come, share your master’s joy.”Matthew 25:21

Please join us immediately following Mass for a reception celebrating Joe’s life.

The American Legion Nonantum Post 440 295 California Street, Newton, MA.

Thank you to our wonderful family, friends and firefighter community for your incredible support during this difficult time.

When he saw the crowds, he went up the mountain, and after he had sat down, his disciplescame to him. He began to teach them, saying:“Blessed are the poor in spirit,

for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.Blessed are they who mourn,

for they will be comforted.Blessed are the meek,

for they will inherit the land.Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness

for they will be satisfied.Blessed are the merciful,

for they will be shown mercy.Blessed are the clean of heart,

for they will see God.Blessed are the peacemakers,

for they will be called children of God.Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness,

for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.Blessed are you when they insult you and persecute you and utter every kind of evil against you[falsely] because of me. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward will be great in heaven.”
