BOOKS LESSONS TO BE LEARNED

Genesis Sets forth Israel's relation with the Covenant God, both as Creator of the universe, as well as the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

Exodus Relates the narrative of how God redeemed His people from their slavery in Egypt. He is pictured as entering into a covenant with His people whom He has purchased as His priced possession.

Leviticus Deals with the question of how men are to approach the Covenant God. It outlines the sacrifices and the forms of worship.

Numbers Since there is very little historical narrative in Leviticus, it takes up the historical narrative that Exodus left off.

So the Levites shall be Mine. 13 For all the first-born are Mine; on the day that I struck down all the first-born in the land of Egypt, I sanctified to Myself all the first-born in Israel, from man to beast. They shall be Mine; I am the Lord."
