• They are STRONG and they don’t bend.

Bones join together at joints. These are 2 types of joints:

Fixed joints

The bones don´t move.

Moveable joints

The bones move in one direction. These joints are held together by ligaments.

• The skeleton is made up of all the bones in our body.

• An adult has 206 bones, but a baby more.

• The skeleton has two functions: It supports our body and it protects the organs.

• Muscles are SOFT when relaxed.

• Most muscles are connected to bones.
