the boat that rocked advertisement
TRANSCRIPT
Directed by Richard Curtis
Poster A simple yet slightly humours poster was put up
everywhere to attract attention to the film. As the poster is quite simple it highlights the title of the film and the release month and year. In total it had seven posters.
World Premiere There was a world premiere at Leicester Square in
London on 24th March 2009 (a couple of months before the film release). Premieres help to create a buzz for a film and is great publicity as it can be streamed online. The premiere was spoken about on the Sky news.
Merchandise There are a few different merchandises that were sold
for the film but not many. Below shows the two items that Amazon sold to promote the film: the soundtrack CD and Posters.
Apps “The Boat That Rocked” has one app for iPhones, iPods
and iPads based on the game top trumps. Apps help to spread awareness as well as enjoyment for the film. It should get people talking about it.
Interviews There was a number of interviews both in video form
and written articles. This would attract both visual people and people who prefer to read to find out more about the film. The interview I found below is from the film website Lovefilm.com
