From the Principal’s desk…
Greetings East Hill Families!
Spring has sprung! Spring Break is April 7-11th.
This is a great time to connect as families and
spend quality time together. Students can take
advantage of the extra time they have to read and
continue learning when they are not at school.
The King County Public Libraries are a great
place to get books and have access to educational
websites.
As many of you know, we have a new state test,
called the Smarter Balanced Assessment
Consortium (SBAC), coming up this year. The
SBAC aligns with the Common Core State
Standards. Below is the testing schedule for
students in 3rd-6th grade. Please make sure your
students get a good night sleep, a healthy breakfast
and are here on the days below. Please schedule
doctor’s appointments and absences outside of the
times listed below! Thank YOU in advance!
Sincerely,
Daxa Thomas, Principal

Parents, Please help us by reminding your
children about what to wear to school. We want them to be able to run and play at recess, so please no dressy
heels or shoes without an ankle strap. Also no shoes with built in roller skate wheels (like wheelies). Shirts need shoulders at least 2” wide with nice high armholes and ladylike necklines,
that do not show any tummy. Skirts and shorts need to be at least fingertip length.
If coats are worn, children need to remember to not toss them on the
ground for others to trip over.
Here’s to a safe and fun recess!
