Installing the Garden Roof

• Waterproofing and insulation must be properly installed

• Substrate must be properly prepared• Environmental conditions:

• Substrate must be stored in a dry place between 50 and 90 degrees F out of the sun.

• For colder weather, the product must be at least 50 degrees F for 2 days prior.

Garden Roof:• Materials

Soil• Toxins from air• Shield for roof• Light, but contains all the minerals

necessary for plants to survive

Plants

• Drought resistant plants• Aesthetic appeal• Shallow root system• Able to live with little

maintenance• Perennial

Warranty/GuaranteeInspection• Verify before installation that roof will carry dead

load weight of a water test• After the waterproof membrane has been

installed, perform a water test by applying 2” of water to the roof and observing for leaks

• Main concern is waterproofing membrane

• The components of the Garden Roof have a warranty of 20 years

• Duration of insulation, flashing, membrane: 20 years
