Imagine your brother, your sister, your best friend disappearing without a trace. One day. Two days. A year. No word from him or her. You don’t know if your loved one is sleeping out in the streets. Is it snowing where they are? Is your brother being beaten at this very moment? Is her body lying in a shallow grave somewhere or is she seeing the faces of 15 to 20 different men each night as she is being victimized. These questions alone are enough to drive you insane. This is the reality for the families and friends of the children you see in this book. Each face, each set of eyes looking back at you from these pages represents someone’s son or daughter, sister or brother, or best friend. For each face there is someone asking, “Is he still alive?” “Is she being hurt?” “Is he warm on this cold night?” “Is she safe?” Now imagine that just when you think all hope is lost, there is a stranger, someone who doesn’t know you or your child, but someone who sees his or her picture and then sees them in person. And that stranger speaks out. That stranger makes a phone call that will safely reunite a family; that will bring together children, siblings and friends. That stranger can be YOU. You CAN make a difference. You CAN be the voice that brings together a parent and child. You CAN be the one voice that saves the life of a child. In the pages that follow are pictures of children missing from the Las Vegas area. The circumstances surrounding their disappearance doesn’t matter – they are young and not with their families. They are vulnerable. They may be forced into providing sexual services or be deceived to believe they are performing sexual services willingly. They may be beaten. But YOU, you can be their savior. YOU can be the one who speaks for them. Please, don’t turn and look the other way. Please look closely at these photos that follow.
