Mine2-4D is a complete, automated mine planning and scheduling system that delivers fully integrated long and short term mine plans, Gantt schedules linked to 3D designs, animations and reliable reconciliation.

Design

Mine2-4D provides an advanced mine design system within a full 3D environment. Real time rotation coupled with interrogation of block models during the design stage allows economic criteria to be used in the design of production excavations.

Assimilate

Long term mine plans are continuously updated as alterations to the short term plan are made, allowing you to assess the impact of such changes over the entire life of mine.

Integrate

Mine2-4D long and short term plans are fully integrated. The centralised database structure allows automatic interrogation of the geological block model and places the required information into the schedule. This eliminates the need for data collection and reduces errors.

MineRP has again raised the bar with Mine2-4D v15. Developed as a focused mine planning application for underground and surface mines, you can trust Mine2-4D to generate practical scenarios that will maximise the value of your mineral assets.

Optimised planning, design, sequencing and scheduling to deliver workable plans and scenarios

Easy visualization and animation of plans at any level of detail

Advanced integration with all major geological packages

Interactive scheduling with EPS and EPSViz

Certified MineRP Explorer Ready, users can integrate and relate mining information in Mine2-4D with any other mining technical datasets across the enterprise.

Automate

Mine2-4D maximises the use of automated processes to eliminate many repetitive tasks normally associated with the production of mine plans, thereby improving the speed and accuracy with which multiple scenarios can be created and analyzed.

Collaborate

Mine2-4D enables flexibility in the presentation and distribution of plans, interactive vizualizations, Gantt charts and network diagrams.

Reconcile

Mine2-4D’s extensive reconciliation system facilitates the comparison between planned and actual excavations. A running record of production and development is also maintained.

To Planners

Multiple Mining Methods

Business Benefits Mine2-4D Features

Mine2-4D is the logical choice for Mining Engineers responsible for creating reliable, practical plans and schedules.

Integrate with all major geological and design packages on the marketSpend time solving engineering problems, not battling with softwareImprove productivity by implementing standardised planning and design concepts and processesEasily share information with peers and management

To Mine Management

Robust mine plans and increased accountability in implementing the mine planImproved communication of planning options at all levelsReliable forecastsGlobally accepted standards

Schedule

Mine2-4D uses design types to model mining excavations and activities, including:

Fixed cross sections like tunnels, room and pillarOutlines, for example slyping of a driftComplex solids, for example open stoping, cut and fill

Mining StandardsBy creating a mine standards database, design consistency is maintained company wide or throughout a project. Changes in the standards database is directly applied to to design items in linked projects.

MineRP Explorer Ready

Mine2-4D is MineRP Explorer Ready, enabling mines to centrally manage all mine plans in MineRP’s SpatialDB, and relate and integrate planning data with other mining technical datasets, including geology, survey, sampling and production actuals.

Moreover, using SpatialDash, information from Mine2-4D is available to the entire enterprise directly over the web.

Long and Short Term Planning

Long-Range PlanningMine2-4D is suitable for all kinds of Long-Range Projects including Scoping, Pre-Feasibility, Feasibility and Life of Mine levelsShort-Range PlanningLong-Range plans (stope designs) can easily be broken down to a finer level of detail to accomplish Short-Range planning requirements (Day to Day)Scenario AnalysisTight integration between design and schedule allow for layout and/or sequence changes, with quick, interactive updating of schedules and schedule visualizations.

The Planning Process

Activity SecuencingSequencing activities with Mine2-4D is easy. A variety of unique features allow engineers to create a robust sequence, easily facilitating design changes on the fly.Geological Model DepletionMine2-4D accurately accounts for development within stopes by creating depletion cells which can be interrogated against the block model.Multi Calendar SupportMultiple calendars may be applied to both resources and activities. This allows for the scheduling of down-time or other non-work periods, which can be accounted for separately.ResourcesCan be either equipment or labour and can be assigned graphically or by ‘drag and drop’ onto actvities. A resource based schedule can be built, and availability and cost may be varied over time.Survey and ReconciliationMine2-4D allows for reconciliation information from a variety of systems including Cavity Monitoring Systems and development updating. Reconciliation information is maintained and can be queried separately for custom reporting.Input Cost and Commodity PricingBoth input cost and planned income can be altered over the lifetime of the project, resulting in more accurate and realistic life of mine plans and NPV calculations.Production SchedulingMine2-4D and EPS function as a working unit to generate schedules with credibility at all levels of the operation

EPS sets the industry standard for mine production scheduling and forecasting and further expands MineRP’s portfolio of robust, integrated solutions.

EPSViz is a unique innovation to mine scheduling. EPSViz provides the ability to link the EPS Gantt schedule with 3D graphical design data to provide dynamic animations of the schedule.

With elected tasks in one application being automatically identified and highlighted in the others, EPS and Mine2-4D users can proceed work completely interactively between the three applications.

Benefits of EPSViz include the ability to:•Interactively select 3D activities so highlighted in

EPS;•Select activities in EPS so highlighted in EPSViz;•Annotate and filter activities, including the ability

to colour code individual activities to allow quick and easy differentiation on a user-defined basis

•Distribute annotated visualisations and schedules to non-licensed users of the software using the free viewer versions available for download from the web;

•Specify tasks as either rate or duration driven•Set target ranges for all user-defined properties

for production planning•Change the rate of a task over time•Record actual start and finish dates, and track

percentage complete for activities•Change the Gantt chart display to show date

bars, cross tab values, or both.

First to include Gantt chart capability with associated time-based table or histogram reports and many familiar project management and scheduling tools, EPS is fully customized to the needs and complex issues of mining operations. The intuitive user interface makes it easy to learn and simple to use.

EPS is packed with outstanding features, such as the ability to:•Modify task period values in the Gantt

Chart interactively – similar to using a spreadsheet

•Dynamically view a 3D visualisation of the schedule using the EPSViz module

•Create user-defined physical properties, such as Tonnage, Meters and grade (such as gold)

•Specify Tasks as either rate or duration driven and assign scheduling constraints, with the ability to vary the rates over time

•Customize the display of tasks and dependencies with coloring, based on user-defined text fields and layers

•Maintain separate scheduling and reporting calendars and report over any time period

•Filter, sort, and group tasks on any field or combination of fields including user-defined text and production fields

•Interactively link tasks (create dependencies)

•Level a schedule based on variable resource availabilities as assigned to specific tasks

•Track actual information for tasks including dates, production fields, and % complete

•Set Baselines for comparison against planned and actual performance

•Report summarized period values using tables or histograms in the Cross tab
