TBC Overview-Well-established: Been around since the 1990’s
- Recognized as one of the top Mandarin language programs in China
-Various programs: Semester, all year and summer
-Affiliated with LUC - All credits transfer - All Loyola and federal aid transfers
-Located on a Chinese university campus
-Excursions are included in tuition and occur in every program
-No language requirements

Semester- Same amount of time as a semester in Chicago
- Choice to live with another TBC student or Chinese student
- Paired with Chinese tutors - Regular and intensive tracks of Chinese
language courses
- Silk Road (fall) or Yunnan Excursion - 2-week excursions to unique and famous
places in China - Included in tuition
- Wide variety of classes – professors in top of fields

Excursions FALL: SILK ROAD-Travel from Beijing to ~ 50 miles away from the border with Pakistan
-Camp and ride camels in the Gobi Dessert
-Visit the Terracotta Warriors in the ancient capital of Xi’an
SPRING: YUNNAN PROVINCE - Visit China’s most diverse province
- Participate in home stays and cultural festivals
- Celebrate the Chinese new year with minority groups

Summer-3 credit hour courses
- Doing Business in China- State and Society in China- Discovering China through Film- Chinese Language and Literature - Environmental Sustainability and Science in China (ChinaGreen)
- Includes a 3-day trip to Shanghai
- One month in duration
-ChinaGreen- LUC Professor Dr. Ping Jing - Travel course – two weeks in Beijing, two weeks traveling China
