Step 1 Back Plate

Flip the bass onto its backside, sothat the strummer is facing the tableand the battery compartment isfacing you.

Use a J1 Phillips head screwdriverto remove ten 5mm short screws.

Use a J1 Phillips head screwdriverto remove four 5mm long screws.

Step 2

Flip the bass to the front, with thestrummer and fret buttons facingyou.

Use a J1 Phillips head screwdriverto remove two 10mm silver, shortscrews.

Step 3

Flip the bass on its back again, so that the strummer is facing down and the battery compartmentis facing you.

Pull off the back whole panel so that the bass is now open.

Step 4 Whammy Bar

Use J1 Phillips screwdriver toremove the four 10mm screws onthe whammy bars black cover.

Step 5

Remove the black cover.

Now the white whammy barunderneath is visible.

Step 6

Use a J1 Philips head screwdriver to remove one 10mm screw.

This will unscrew the electrical connection between the whammy bar and the blue circuit board.

Remove the electrical connector.
