Sheila Cassidy and Joyce Peck have returned from a 10 day trip around the UK, visiting Ireland, Northern Ireland, Wales, England & Scotland. Phew. They loved it all – except the cuisine.

Zoe Onysko and Jeff Knorek had a super time entertaining Zoe's brother and sister-in-law from On-tario, for a week in early Septem-ber.

Catherine Sherwood is back in town after a great trip to Ontario.

Kevin and Carrie have returned to Min-nesota after a couple of months liv-ing the good life in Bear River.

Diane and Joe Galvin enjoyed a brief trip back to Bear River from their home in Rhode Island.

Diane and Noel Lalonde took a vaca-tion! They enjoyed some time in the big city and the scenery of the

South Shore. Francois Bellefontaine spent a week with

his sister in Lawrencetown (Hfx. County).

Dove Ballon and Alan Dale have flown off into the wild blue yonder for an-other year.

A wonderful event was held at the Anna-polis Highlands Winery in mid Septem-ber with fantastic food, tours, prizes, music and not to mention, wine.

Melvin Cress turned 65 at the beginning of September and is anticipating his first old age pension cheque.

Dorothy Isles enjoyed a visit from her daughter, Carol Denton and husband Barry of Ontario.

Pat and Verner Gamborg enjoyed a visit from their daughter and her family.

On Sept. 23, the B.R. United Baptist Church held an induction service for pastor Earl Waterman. His son, Na-than was the guest speaker.

Lucy and Brian Muzkie are back in Bear River.

Get well wishes to Diane Milbury and Ralph Jefferson.

Having completed chemotherapy, Karen Mansfield is awaiting surgery at the end of the month and making the most of having her appetite back! She makes a brief trip to Sask. in the meantime.

An absolutely wonderful dinner party was hosted by Barry and Sheila Cassidy for their friends to say so long to an-other summer as the snowbirds pre-pare to fly south.

It was great to see Jill and Brian Chap-man back in town for a bit.

Flora Doehler took some time out from her busy summer to travel to Brier Island for a week where she got to stay in a

hostel for the first time and do some painting with some other artists.

Sue Friend and George Sloane recently hosted a gazebo warming event.

Cedar Waterman celebrated her 9th birthday with a party and sleep-over, and enjoys being big.

Michael Sampson continues his adven-tures in London. Recently while work-ing as a waiter at a high end fashion show, he was given the task of keep-ing super model, Kate Moss's wine glass filled. And no, he didn't ask her about Johnny Depp. Soon to be a movie????
