Catholic Elementary Schools Collection : Next week there will be a special collection for Catholic Schools in the Archdiocese of Boston. Saint Agnes School News Celebrating 125 Years of Academic Excellence

Dr. William Porcaro , parent and School Board member, worked with Armstrong Ambulance to secure a donation of a second Automated External Defibrillator. The AED was presented by Rich Raymond CEO, and Jeff Scarifi, Director of Logistics,

for Armstrong Ambulance. Doctor Porcaro along with school nurse, Kelly Edwards, also coordinated a faculty-wide CPR training class. All forty-two faculty and staff members of Saint Agnes School were certified at the December training day. The second AED will allow for an AED be housed on the first and third floors. The first AED was generously donated by past parent Brian Connors of Lifeline Ambulance. Saint Agnes School is thankful for these life-saving donations.

The third grade will host the January School Liturgy on Tuesday January 12, at 8:30 AM. Our School Chaplain, Father Graham, will celebrate the Mass. All parents and parishioners are invited to attend.

Open House - The next Saint Agnes School Open House will be on Sunday January 31, from 10:00 AM. to 1:00 PM. Prospective students and parents can tour the School, meet with teachers and view curriculums for the 2016/2017 School year. Interested families are encouraged to submit applications soon, as classes are filling quickly and we are ahead of plan for the upcoming year !

Saint Agnes School offers so much. We employ a full-time Special Education teacher, Guidance Counselor and School nurse. We also offer classes in Spanish, music, art, computers, engineering, library and physical education starting in K1(Pre-K) and continuing thru 8th grade. All our programs integrate the Massachusetts Curriculum standards with an appreciation for the spiritual development of each child. We feature small class sizes, cutting edge curriculum, and updated technology all grounded in a faith based Catholic tradition. We are now enrolling for the 2016-2017 School year. Registration and Open House -Fidelity House’s Preschool (2.9 years-5 years old) and Pre-Kindergarten (4-5 year olds) Programs will be holding

open house and registration for September beginning Monday, January 25 through Friday, January 29. The Preschool is held at Site 2 behind the Parish Center. Site 2 offers larger, updated classrooms, a large kitchen area and a large fenced in playground. Pre-Kindergarten meets on the 2nd floor of Fidelity House. Parents are welcome to visit between 9:00 –11:00 AM. Programs are licensed by the Department of Early Education and Care. Winter Brochure - Programs offered in January include; Nancy Drew Mystery Book Club, Lego Club, Tot Basketball on Mondays, Tot Floor Hockey on Wednesdays, Instructional Floor Hockey on Tuesdays, Gymnastics, Volleyball, Cooking, Basketball for grades K-5 on Friday, Polar Bear Football, Jr. NBA for 8-10 year olds and 11-13 year olds meets on Saturday mornings, and 5th-8th grade boys and girls Floor Hockey. New program ideas are always welcome. Full Day and Early Release Day Program – Fidelity House’s School Age Child Care Program offers full day programs and early release day programs. Full Day Programs include Monday, January 18. Program is open to children in Kindergarten and up. Jr. NBA Basketball League - Basketball program plays on Saturday mornings. Two divisions for players 8-10 years old and 11-13 year old. League schedules and team shirts included. Adults interested in being volunteer coaches are asked to contact Fidelity House. Job Opportunities - Afternoon hours working with youth. Group leader positions, arts & crafts instructor, game room/youth supervisor, sports assistant are available.
