1) IntroductionThenameoftheincorporatedassociationis“TheAssociatedSchoolsInc.”(IntheseRulescalledthe

“Association”).

2) CodeofConductPREAMBLE:TheaimofTheAssociatedSchoolsInc.is"topromoteandconductvariousformsofinter-schoolactivity,with

aviewtofosteringaspiritoffellowship".Itisacknowledgedandacceptedthateachschoolhasitsown

standardsofconductandthatitiswithinthejurisdictionofourschools’Principalstoensurethatthose

standardsaremaintained.Nevertheless,somecommonlyacceptednormsofbehaviourdesignatedherein

willbeobservedonauniformbasisthroughouttheAssociation.

Inparticular,aspartoftheirinvolvementinTASactivities,AssociationMemberschoolshavea

responsibilitytoensurethattheProtocolandEthosoftheAssociationismaintainedthroughout.

Inthisregard,schoolsshall:

• wholeheartedlysupporttheAssociation'sConstitution,By-Laws,Rulesandactivitiesanddoallthings

topromoteandfostertheAims,EthosandProtocoloftheAssociation;

• refrainfromdirectlyapproachingstudentsfromotherTASschools(poaching)oroffering

scholarshipsorotherinducementstosaidstudentstochangeschools;(refertopolicy#12ofPolicy

Manual)

o (Notethatrespondentsto“open”advertisementsortogenerallyadvertisedprogrammes

ofexcellencearenotrestrictedbythisClause).

o ensurethatstaffandcoachesfromMemberschoolsareparticularlysensitiveinobserving

allproperprotocolsrelatingtothisissue;

o whenanon-solicitedtransferbetweenTASschoolsoccurs,theHeadofthenewschool

shall,asamatterofcourtesy,advisetheHeadofthepreviousschool.

ThisCodeisconsideredunderthefollowingheadings:(1) GeneralBehaviour (2) BehaviourandExampleofCoaches

GeneralBehaviour1.1. Healthy,vigorousexercise,scrupulousregardforthespiritoftheRulesofthegame,awillingnessto

submittodisciplinedtraining,andthecultivationofageneroussportsmanshiparethegoalsofTAS

sports.

1.2. TheHostSchoolhastherighttoexpectthatbothvisitorsandmembersofitsowncommunitywill

adheretoitsownparticularcustomsandpractices.

1.3. Thecompetitiontableisnottoberegardedasthesolereasonforcompeting.

1.4. Schoolsshouldensurethatplayerscompeteintheircorrectagegroupandthattheyadheretothe

GeneralCompetitionRulesandBy-Lawsforthevarioussports.

1.5. Racial/sexual/religiousabuseoranyotherformofharassmentwill,undernocircumstances,be

toleratedbyTAS.Playersshouldbegivennomorethanonewarningbeforebeingsentoffand

reportedtotheschool.Spectatorslikewiseshouldbereportedandaskedtoleavethesidelineif

guiltyofracial/sexual/religiousabuse.

BehaviourandExampleofCoaches2.1. UndernocircumstancesistheretobedeliberatebendingoftheGeneralCompetitionRulesand

By-Lawsforthevarioussports.Coaches,CoordinatorsandDirectorsofSportareexpectedtoabide

bythe"spirit"aswellasthe"letterofthelaw".

2.2. Coachesshouldencourageteamsand/orindividualplayerstobepunctualincomingontothefield

orreportingtothedesignatedofficialsbothbeforeandduringmatches.

2.3. Coachingfrominsidetheplayingarenabyanyoneisnotallowed.

2.4. Coachesmustacceptthedecisionsofrefereesandumpires.Thisdoesnotprecluderational

clarificationofdecisionsatasubsequenttime.

2.5. Thefollowingarebanned:

2.5.1. time-wastingandtime-wastingactions;

2.5.2. unsportsmanlikebehaviour;

2.5.3. over-vigorousplay;

2.5.4. deliberatecoachinginillegaltactics;

2.5.5. sledging;

2.5.6. dissention;

2.5.7. foullanguage;

2.5.8. foulplay.

StandardsRequiredofReferees3.1. AsanAssociationwedemandacertainstandardofbehaviouranddressfromourplayers;similar

standardsareexpectedofrefereesandumpires.

3.2. Appropriatesignalsfortheconductofthesportshouldbeadheredto;clearsignallingisbeneficialto

thegame.

3.3. Itisexpectedthatrefereesandumpiresshouldmeettherequiredstandardsofqualificationsin

ordertoofficiate.

3.4. ThecriteriaforappointmentofrefereesandumpiresaslaiddowninthevariousBy-Lawsshouldbe

adheredto.

ConductandSanctionofPlayers4.1. Ahighstandardofconductisexpectedatalltimes,bothonandoffthefield.

4.2. Eachandeveryplayershouldbeanexampleofwhatasportspersonshouldbe,includingan

appreciationofgoodplayandanacceptanceofthemistakesmadebyfellowplayers.

4.3. Thegameshouldbeplayedhardbutneverunfairly.

4.4. Ill-temperorspiteshouldneverbeshown;assistanceforopponentswhenitappearsdesirable

shouldbegiven.

4.5. Themeetingoftheopposingcoachandcaptainbyoppositenumbersistobecommended.

4.6. Congratulations,thanksorcheersappropriatetothegame,bythecaptainand/orplayersistobe

encouraged.

4.7. Theordersorinstructionsoftheumpire,refereeordesignatedofficialshouldbeobeyedquickly,

andanydecisions,howeverunfavourable,shouldbeacceptedwithoutquestion.

4.8. Theuseofdrugs,includingpain-killers,toimproveormaintaintheperformanceofanyindividual

playerorgroupofplayersisstrictlyforbidden.

4.9. PlayerSanctions

4.9.1. Inallinstanceswhereaplayerisdismissedorexcludedfromplayforfoulplayorplaydeemed

dismissiblebytheofficiatingcrewoftheirgame,theywillincuraminimumoneweek

suspensionfromthatTASsport.(Itisimportanttonotethatabyedoesnotconstituteaweek

ofTASsport.)Schoolsmayimposelongersanctionsiftheydeemitappropriate.

ConductofSpectators5.1. Goodplay,byeitherside,shouldbeacknowledgedbyspectatorsintheappropriatemanner.This

canencourageplayersandhelpthemtolifttheirgameasthematchorcontestprogresses.

5.1.1. Unwiseorfanaticalbarrackingcanmakeaplayerperformfoolishactionsintheirplay,orincite

themtofoulplay,whichisnottobecondoned.

5.2. ThePrincipal,ortheirrepresentative,hasthelegalrighttoremoveanypersonorpersonswhodo

notconformtotheacceptablestandardsofbehaviourassetbyhis/herschool.

5.3. Consumptionofalcoholbyspectatorsduringtheconductofamatchorcontestisnotpermitted.

5.4. Refereesorumpiresarenottobeapproachedbyspectatorsatanytimebefore,duringoraftera

match.

5.5. Whilecheeringandsupportingone'sownteamisrecognisedaspartoftheconductofthegame,

andprovidedthisbarrackingiswithintherequirementsoftheBy-Laws(withrespecttoAthletics

andSwimming),itistobeencouraged;"anti-barracking"isbanned.

5.6. WhiletheHostSchoolshouldmakeeveryendeavourtoprovideforthedisposalofrubbish,all

spectatorsshouldmakeeveryeffortnottolitteranypartsoftheplayingfieldsand/orgrounds.

Dress6.1. Referees,umpires,officialsandplayersaretobecorrectlyattiredaccordingtotheneedsofthe

particularsport.

6.2. Dress(especiallyfootwear)ofallparticipantsshouldbecleanandtidy,respectable,andnottorn.

6.3. TheBy-Lawsforthevarioussports,withrespecttodressaretobeobservedbyplayers.Inaddition

thefollowingpointsaretobenoted:

6.4. itisrecommendedthatcorrectbootsbewornforturfwicketmatches;

6.5. correctheadwearshouldbewornforcricket;

6.6. appropriatesponsorshipshallbepermittedonsportinguniforms.

SportSpecificConsiderationsAsaconsequenceoftheforegoing,thefollowingpointsshouldbegivencloseattention.

7.1. APPLICABLETOALLSPORTS

7.1.1. TheHostSchoolistoensurethatthefield,courtorpitchisreadyforplay,

especiallyduringinclementweather.

7.1.2. Onlyauthorizedpersonsshouldstandinsidetheplayingareasasdefinedbythe

HostSchool.

7.2. ATHLETICSANDCROSSCOUNTRYThefollowingpracticesareprohibited:

7.2.1. Sprints:Deliberatelydelayinggetting"set"afterthe"onyourmarks"inorderto

holdallcompetitors.

7.2.1.1. Makingsoundand/ormovementsatthe"set"tocauseafalsestart.

7.2.1.2. Gettinga"fly"beforethegun(althoughitisdifficulttodothison

purpose).

7.2.2. Distance:Cutting-ininfrontofanotherathletewhenthereisinsufficient

clearance.

7.2.2.1. Pushing,holdingorjostlingyouropponent.

7.2.2.2. Beinggivenpersonaltimesbyapersonotherthantheofficialtimecaller.

7.2.2.3. Talkingtoanopponentduringarace.

7.2.3. FieldEvents:Receivingcoachingwhiletheeventisinprogress.

7.2.3.1. Talkingduringtheeventtodistractanopponent.

7.3. BASKETBALLThefollowingpracticesareprohibited:

7.3.1. Deliberately"foulingoff"anopponent.

7.3.2. Unsportsmanlikeapplaudingoftheplayer"fouledoff".

7.3.3. Gettingoneofthesubstitutestogooncourtcontinuallytouseillegaltactics

againstahighscoringopponent.

7.3.4. Morethanoneteamofficialatanytimeapproachingthescorebench.

7.3.5. Takingtime-outsinthelastminutesofgamesbyateamwithanunassailable

winningmarginshouldbefortacticalreasonsonly.Ifsuchatime-outiscalledfor

thepurposeofsubstitutions,time-inshouldbecalledimmediately."Inyourface"

time-outsarenotacceptablebehaviour.

7.3.6. Direct,hostileornegativecommentstowardsoppositioncoachesorplayersare

unacceptable.Furthermore,referencesmadeto"bait"oppositionplayersor

coachesarealsounacceptable.

7.3.7. Constantlybeseechingrefereestomakefavourablecallsoneveryplay.

7.3.8. Coachesmakingindirectcommentstowardrefereesthatallocateblameor

incompetencei.e."Don'tworryMichael,younevertouchedhim."

7.3.9. Coachestoenlistorincitethecrowdagainstthereferees.

7.4. CRICKET7.4.1. Playersmustnotmakeloudorrepetitiveappealsinordertoinfluencetheumpire's

decision.

7.4.2. Playersandteamofficialsmustnotreactinanobviouslyprovocativeordisapproving

mannertowardsanumpire,his/herdecisionorgenerallyfollowinganumpiring

decision.

7.4.3. Playersandteamofficialsmustnotdisputeanumpire'sdecision,asdistinctfroma

rationalclarificationofthatdecisionatasubsequenttime.

7.4.4. Playersandteamofficialsmusttreatumpireswithrespectandanelementof

reverence.Overfamiliaritybetweenumpiresandofficials/playersisnotacceptable.

7.4.5. Playersandteamofficialsmustnotassaultorattempttoassault(eitherverballyor

physically)anumpireoranotherplayer.

7.4.6. Playersmayencouragetheirownteammembersduringthecourseofamatch,but

maynotengageincontinualandexcessiverowdybehaviourinanattempttodistract

theoppositionplayers,i.e.batsmen,fieldsmen.

7.4.7. Playersorteamofficialsmaynotmakecommentsorusegestureswithaviewto

intimidateorinfluencetheperformanceofanoppositionplayer,i.e."sledge"aplayer,

eg:

7.4.7.1. talkingatbatsmen

7.4.7.2. deliberatebumpingofbatsmanatbowlersendorwhilecrossing

7.4.7.3. clappingeveryball

7.4.7.4. talkingintheslipsand"silly"positionsduringbowlersapproachordelivery

7.4.7.5. batsmantobowler/fieldsman

7.4.7.6. sidelineplayerstalkingtofieldsman/bowler

7.4.7.7. Playersandteamofficialsmaynotusecrudeand/orabusivelanguage,use

gesturesorwellknowncrudeorabusivehandsignalsinthecourseofthe

matchregardlessofwhetherornotitisdirectedatanotherplayer,official

orumpire.

1.4.7.7.1. AplayerorofficialsoactingshallbereportedtothePrincipal

oftheirschool.

7.4.8. Playersandteamofficialsmustnotdeliberatelywastetime:Suchasinthesituations

below...

7.4.8.1. slowchangeoversbetweenovers

7.4.8.2. slowingtheoverrate(dawdlingbybowler)

7.4.8.3. batsmenchangingslowlyatfallofwickets

7.4.8.4. bowlingoffthewicket

7.4.8.5. delaysinfieldsetting

7.4.8.6. mid-wicket"conferences"betweenbatsmen

7.4.8.7. excessivemovementawayfromcreasewithoutcauseasbowlercomes

intobowl

7.4.8.8. wetweatherprocedures(covers)

7.4.9. Specificinstructions,fromthesidelines,bycoachesoranyoneassociatedwith

thecompetingteamsarenotpermissible.However,instructionsofageneral

natureareallowable;

7.4.9.1. "Pickupthefielding" ALLOWED

7.4.9.2. "Putamanatmid-on" NOTALLOWED

7.4.10. Playersandteamofficialsmustnotindulgeinunsportsmanlikebehaviour

detrimentaltothespiritofthegame.

7.4.11. AnyinfringementsoftheCodeshouldbediscussedwiththerelevantparties

immediatelyafterthegameandseriousorrepeatedinfringementsshouldbe

broughttothenoticeofparticipatingschoolDirectorsofSport.

7.5. FOOTBALL(SOCCER) Thefollowingpracticesareprohibited:

7.5.1. nigglingminorillegalitiesbehindplay;

7.5.2. unnecessarytalkandgoadingbehaviour;

7.5.3. kickingtheballawayafterafreekickhasbeenawarded;

7.5.4. standingovertheballtostopateamfromtakingaquickfreekick;

7.5.5. claimingathrow-in,cornerorgoalkickknowingthatitistheotherteam'sball;

7.5.6. deliberatetimewastingbykickingtheballwelloutofplay;

7.5.7. takinganexceptionallylongtimetoretrievetheball;

7.5.8. feigninginjuryor"diving"toreceiveapenalty;

7.5.9. failingtoapologiseforaclumsytackle;

7.5.10. bodylanguagewhichdemonstratesdisagreementwiththereferee'sdecision.

7.5.11. Note: Beforeandafterthegameteamsshouldshakehandsandthereferee

shouldbethankedattheconclusionofthematch.

7.6. HOCKEYThefollowingpracticesareprohibited:

7.6.1. Unnecessarytalkorgoadingbehaviour.

7.6.2. Bodylanguage,whichdemonstratesdisagreementwiththereferee.

7.6.3. Claimingapenaltystroke,cornerorfreehit,knowingthatitistheotherteam'sball.

7.6.4. Takinganexceptionallylongtimetoretrievetheball.

7.6.5. Hittingtheballawayafterapenalty/freehithasbeenawarded.

7.6.6. Deliberatetimewastingbyhittingtheballwelloutofplay.

7.6.7. Failingtorecogniseadangeroustackle.

7.6.8. Hitting,hooking,holding,strikingatorinterferingwithanotherplayer'sstick,clothing

orperson.

7.6.9. Deliberatelyraisingaballfromahitotherthanashotatgoal.

7.7. NETBALLThefollowingpracticesareprohibited:

7.7.1. Defenderstalkingtotheshooterwhileshooting.

7.7.2. Takinganexceptionallylongtimetoretrievetheball.

7.7.3. Throwing/rollingtheballawayafterapenalty/freepass.

7.7.4. Teamsnottakingthecourtimmediatelyattheconclusionofaninterval.

7.8. RUGBY7.8.1. UndernocircumstancesistheretobedeliberatebendingoftheLawsofthegameof

Rugby.

7.8.2. Playersmustnotquestionthereferee'sdecision.Onlytheteamcaptainorcoach

mayseekclarificationofdecisions.

7.8.3. Playersmustcontroltheirtempersatalltimesandmustnot"mouthoff"orusebody

languagethatdemonstratesdisagreementordisrespecttoarefereeorotherofficial.

7.8.4. Playersmustnotridicule,goad,interferewith,bullyortakeunfairadvantageofany

player,norfeigninjurytogainanunfairadvantage.

7.8.5. Aplayershouldexhibitgoodsportsmanshipandenthusiasmforthegameatall

times,inparticularby:

7.8.5.1. workinghardforhimselfandhisteammates;

7.8.5.2. applaudinggoodplaybybothteams;

7.8.5.3. shakinghandsbeforeandafterthegame;and

7.8.5.4. thankingtherefereeattheendofthematch.

7.9. SWIMMING7.9.1. Deliberatetimewastingatthestartofraces.

7.10. TENNISThefollowingpracticesareprohibited:

7.10.1. Displayingbadsportsmanship,egracquetthrowing,hittingballswildlyaboutthe

court,havingverbalconfrontationswithopponents.

7.10.2. Disputingthedecisionsofumpires(whoaregenerallyplayersfromyourteamor

youropponentsteam).

7.10.3. Employinggamesmanship,egdeliberatelyreturningthefirstserveeventhough

itwasclearlyafault,dawdlingaboutthecourt,movingexcessivelytodistractthe

server.

7.10.4. Lackofconcentrationwhenumpiringorscoring.

7.11. VOLLEYBALLThefollowingareprohibited.

7.11.1. Unsportsmanlikebehaviouroncourt,inparticular:

7.11.1.1. dissentingwiththereferee'sdecision;

7.11.1.2. questioningthereferee'sdecision(onlytheon-courtcaptainmaytalkto

thereferee);

7.11.1.3. intimidatinganopponentbywordorphysicalaction;

7.11.1.4. "talkingacrossthenet"tooppositionplayers.

7.11.1.5. offensivebehaviour:

7.11.2. Theuseofphysicalaggressionagainstanopponentisstrictlyforbidden.

3) RulesofCompetition3.1 TheTASCompetitionStructurewillcomprisethefollowing3.1.1. TheAssociatedSchoolswillruntwocompetitions.

3.1.1.1. From2014theTAScompetitionwillconsistof9schools.

3.1.1.2. From2016theGreaterBrisbaneConferencewillconsistof5memberschools.

3.1.1.3. AfterTASschoolsmeettheirteamobligations,anyadditionalsportingteamscan

befieldedintheGreaterBrisbaneConferencecompetition.

1.1.1.3.1. Additionalteamsmaybemadeupofstudentsfromtwoadjacentyear

levels.

1.1.1.3.2. AdditionalteamswillplayinTASSupplementarycompetitions.

3.1.2. ThesportsplayedinTheAssociatedSchools’competitionsareopentochangeasa

numberofsportsnotpresentlyplayedbyTASwereflaggedasbeingpopular.

3.1.3. TASsportwillbeplayedinTrimesters.

3.1.3.1. TASschoolshaveagreedtousethePMSAschoolholidaydatessothatholidays

canbealignedandtheAssociationhasagreedtouse9-11weekseasons.

3.1.4. Openteamswillbecalled1stsand2nds

3.2 CriteriaforparticipationinTAS3.2.1 ThefollowingcriteriamustbereachedforANYschooltoparticipateinTAS

Competition.Schoolswillbeaskedtoshowcausewhytheyshouldnotberemoved

fromthecompetitioniftheydonotfollowtheseBy-Laws.

3.2.1.1. AllteamsoutlinedintheBy-Lawsmustbefieldedbyallschools.

3.2.1.1.1. Fieldingateamrequires75%participation.ie:6gamesofa

potential8matchseasonmustbeplayed.

3.2.1.1.2. Schoolsmissingteamsfromthegraduatingclassof2019(ie:

yr9in2016)areexemptfrom3.2.1.1.

3.2.1.2. SchoolsnotfieldingallteamsoutlinedintheBy-Lawswillreceiveuntil

theendofthefollowingcalendaryeartoensuretheycomplywithBy-Law

3.2.1.1.

3.2.1.3. AllschoolswillfollowtheCodeofConductassetoutintheseBy-Laws.

3.2.1.4. AllschoolswilladheretotheBy-LawsoftheAssociationparticularlyas

theypertaintosafetyregulationsforallsports.

3.2.1.5. Allschoolswillensuretheirselectionpoliciesmeettheguidelinessetout

intheAssociationBy-Laws.

3.3 YearLevelCompetition .3.3.1: AllteamsportcompetitionsrunbyTheAssociatedSchoolsonaweeklybasis,will

beconductedasaYear-Levelcompetition,withamaximum2yearagewindow

foryears7,8,9and10.

3.3.1.1: The2yearwindowrequiresYear7studentsnottobeolderthan13on

the1stJanuary,Year8studentsnottobeolderthan14atthe1stJanin

theyearofcompetition.Year9studentsmustnotbeolderthan15and

Year10studentsnotolderthan16atthe1stJanintheyearof

competition.

3.6 By-LawAnomaliesandDisputes3.6.1: AllDirectorsofSportwilleithermakecontactthemselvesorensurethattheir

particularsportcoordinatorsmakecontactwiththeopposingschool’scoordinator

wheneverthereisananomalytotheirteammakeuporprocedures.Thiscontactmust

takeplacepriortothematchtakingplace.

3.6.1.1: SchoolsmustadheretotheBy-LawssetdownbytheAssociation.

3.6.1.2: WheneveranomaliestotheBy-Lawsoccur,particularlywithregardtoteam

selection,contactwiththeopposingcoordinatorsmustoccurpriortomatches

3.6.1.3: Failuretomakecontactpriortomatchestakingplacemayresultinforfeitureof

3.7 ProcessforDealingwithProtestsandDisputes3.7.1: WhereschoolPrincipalsorDirectorsofSportfeelthatanopposingschoolhas

breachedtheAssociationConstitution,PoliciesorBy-Laws,theguidelinesfrom

policy#3(ProtestsandDispiutes)intheAssociatedSchoolsPolicyManualshould

befollowed.

3.7.2: WhenaprotestissubmittedtotheAssociation’sManagementCommitteefor

deliberation,thecommitteewilllooktoseeifanyverificationofthefactsexists.

3.7.2.1:Verificationoffactsshouldexistinwrittenformvianotationontheteam

sheetsconcernedwithverifyingsignaturesofopposingcoaches/directors

Arefereewhoiscurrentlyastudentofaparticipatingschoolshouldnotbeappointedtorefereea

gameinwhichhis/herschoolisplaying,unlessthereisagreementbyofficialsofbothteamsfor

thattooccur.

Incompetitiongames,wheretouchjudgesarenotprovidedbytheReferees'Association,each

schoolshouldendeavourtoprovideacompetenttouchjudge(suchasanolderstudentor

parent).

1.5 Minimumequipment Afirstaidkitshouldbeavailableatallvenueswherelessonsandcompetitionsareconducted.

1.6 Hazardreduction • Theteachershouldintroducetheactivitycomprehensivelyandinclude:

• Aminimumspaceoffivemetresshouldsurroundeachfieldandberopedofffreefrom

• Unlessparticipatinginthegameordirectlysupportingparticipants(Trainer,1stAidand

coach/managerathalftime)nooneispermittedonthefieldofplay.

• Playerequipment,includingfootwear,headgearandshinpads,shouldcomplywithagestandard

levelsappropriatetothelawsofthegame.

• Correctlyfittedmouthguardsshouldbewornforplayingandpractising.

• Whenplayingonafield,ifoneormorestudentsarewearingfootwear,allstudentsshouldhave

1.6 TheAustralianRugbyUnionrequiretheseformstobecompletedpriortoanystudentbeing

allowedtoplayinamatchwheretheymayplayagainstplayersoutsidetheirallowedtwo

yearwindowasoutlinedintheappendixnotedintheAssociationPolicymanual.”

2. MINIMUMNUMBEROFPLAYERS2.1 Aminimumoftwelve(12)playersisrequiredtoconstituteateam.Aschoolhavingless

thantwelveplayersbyfifteen(15)minutesafterthescheduledstarttimeshallforfeitthe

Injuredplayersinallgamesmaybereplacedatanytimeduringagame.Theymaynotreturnto

thefieldinanygradeonthatday.Replacementsmustnotexceedtheninety(90)minutes

maximumplayingtimeforallplayersonanyoneday.

Note:IRBrulesstatethat"Aplayerwhohassuffereddefinitecerebralconcussionandlossof

affairs’willexist.

teamshallhavetherighttoprovideaqualifiedreferee.Ifsucharefereeisnotavailablethrough

thehomeschool,thevisitingteamshallhavetherighttoprovideaqualifiedreferee,PROVIDED

THAT:

12. TOUCHJUDGESANDBALLBOYS 12.1 TOUCHJUDGES

Q.R.R.A.officialsmaybeappointedtoactaslinesmenforFirstXVmatches.

Foreveryothergrade,eachschoolshallsupplyonelinesmanwhoshallbecorrectlydressedand

carryatleastoneflag.Schoolorotherunqualifiedlinesmenshallonlyofficiateonballin-and-out

ofplaysituations.

12.2 BALLBOYS

EachschoolshallprovideonecorrectlydressedballboyfortheFirstXVgame.

13. PLAYERSDRESS 13.1 Thedress(jerseyandsocks)ofeachplayerinallgradesshallconformtocoloursofhis

school.Allplayersineachteamshouldwearshortsandsocksofauniformcolour.

13.2 WhenaTASrepresentativeteamisselected,thoseplayerschosentorepresentthe

AssociationshallbepresentedwithajerseyintheAssociation'scolours(viz:skyblue

withredcuffs,redmonogram,whitecollar,rednumbers)andshallwearwhitefootball

shorts,socksoftheschooltheyrepresentandblackfootballboots.Whenasecond

representativeteamischosen,reversecolouredjerseysshallbeworn.

14. MISCONDUCT 14.1 TEMPORARYSUSPENSION

AsperLaw261991variations,aplayermaybetemporarilysuspendedatthediscretionofthe

referee.InTAScompetition,thenormalareaforthisisbehindthedefendinggoalposts;

however,ifatthediscretionofthehometeam'sDirectorofSporttheareaonaparticularfieldis

deemedunsuitable,thenthehomeschoolhastherighttoestablishanalternativeareaforthis

purpose.Itistheresponsibilityofthehometeam'sDirectorofSporttoinformvisitingreferees

andcoachesofthesealternativearrangementsshouldtheyexist.

14.2 DISMISSAL

Inthecaseoftheplayerbeingsentfromthefield,therefereeshallberequestedtocommunicate

inwritingtothePrincipaloftheschoolconcerned.TASpolicyisforanyplayersentfromthefield

tomissatleastonecompetitionround.(ABYEisnotconsideredmissingacompetitionround.)

Note:ThisappliesequallytoJuniorTASmatches.

15. HOSPITALITY15.1 Theprovisionofmatch-dayhospitalityisexpectedforall1stXVteams.Thehost

schoolwillprovidethehospitalityinamannertheydeemappropriate.

15.2 Whenhospitalityistobeprovided,thevisitingschoolistobenotifiedinthe

weekspriortotheevent,oftheformthefunctionwilltake.

16. DRAWCONSIDERATIONS 16.1 WithTASnolongerprovidingarepresentativeteamforQueenslandSchoolboytrials,
