•Over the years, the Denver Art Museum has curated a number of expansive art collections from cultures throughout the world. Located on the fifth floor of the museum, the Asian art collection occupies over 20,000 square feet of space and includes pieces from China, India, Tibet, Nepal, Japan, and more.

•At the Walter + Mona Lutz Gallery, visitors can catch a glimpse of Chinese and Japanese artwork made entirely from bamboo. The Bj Averitt Gallery features the work of some of the oldest civilizations on the planet, which explore the migration of ideas throughout the Mesopotamia region. In the same vein, the Bj Averitt Islamic Art Fund sponsors the collection and conservation of priceless pieces of Islamic art.

•The Asian art collection falls under the auspice of the Asian Art Association (AAA), which organizes a wide range of lectures, exhibitions, receptions, and symposia. AAA members also have the opportunity to participate in social events in Denver and beyond.
